Saddam was a dictator, invaded kuwait, had WMD's, and had a knack for killing his own people.
Please explain more clearly the trading oil in a different currency situation. Let me guess, you like Ron Paul and think we live in 1960 East Berlin.
If we secured and ensured protection of a resource, why did prices go up 300%? That's the opposite of what happens when more of something is around.
All world superpowers supported Iraq during the war, including some of Europe. Russia, China, and the US. People only care about chemical weapons if they're used against civilians.
I used to believe that the whole WMD thing wasn't totally a decent argument. Turns out I was wrong, there is a SHITLOAD of evidence.
>Please explain more clearly the trading oil in a different currency situation
Trading oil in USD increases the value of the dollar. Simple as that.
>Let me guess, you like Ron Paul and think we live in 1960 East Berlin
I'm no libertarian, but I'd vote for him any day over D/R.

Your logic concerning the gas prices is flawed. There was never a shortage of oil/gas during the 2008 $140 / barrel peak. It was due to bad policies and bad luck.

Nobody gives a shit what the people think. If you believe any superpower would lift a finger if it didnt involve their best interests, then you should reevaluate your worldview.
I don't think you know what word means - conjecture = assumption. Moreover, all that evidence is hearsay. Top US officials denied having found any WMDs.
