Turns out you have to know the alphanumeric codes for each special character and a numberpad (because I guess fuck anyone with a laptop) in order to be able to access special characters on PC

They do do that though. If you press the alt key and then any other key while typing you get a different letter/symbol. Alt+e gives you a " ' " which you can then type another letter underneath it to make letters like í or é. At least it works that way on Mac, I think I remember having a conversation with someone and they said their PC keyboard couldn't do that.

Allegations came out of CA being horribly mismanaged, along with some sexual harassment accusations because the female producers felt they were being treated especially bad. I don't entirely agree with the sexual harassment side of things, but if everyone's grievances are true than CA is a shitshow alright

That's a weeee bit exaggerated. Most of the big-ass document (yes I read the whole thing) was just shit-talking their CEO Mike Michaud for being extremely unprofessional. 95% of it amounted to, "We didn't get paid for this, and Mike never answered when we asked him about issues."

The other 5 was basic mundane things. Nothing overly juicy, really.

There’s TL;DR version.
But to sum it up a majority of the former producers from the site have come forward stating that their time at CA was shit.
Things that a majority stated were; they made no money and were paid with exposure, meanwhile they were never promoted on the site and a few were scolded for adding ads to their videos. The CEO accused the ads being what drove viewers from the site, however this was at the time they ended nostalgia critic and Doug was trying to force Demo reel down the viewers throats.
Also the rules of being on the site were never stated, and if they were they were only enforced when the CEO felt like kicking someone out. On top of thei he never responded to producers with concerns. Ironically he fired a producer for not responding to a Skype chat within 15 mins of starting the chat.
Also the aniversary movies budget didn’t go into paying the producers who agreed to take part. Even worst they didn’t have food or water for them. (This is a standard expectation for all film shoots).
They lagged on helping producers filing complaints of harassment.
They fired an employee around the time they left the hospital and forced her to sign a contract stating she can’t work Igor anyone in the same position for years in order to get her severance pay.
Most recently, they’ve sent out bs apologies. One staying “we’re sorry you felt that way”, and the other calling all accusations lies while providing irrevelant evidence.

It’s pretty fucked up tbh. Surprised it hasn’t forms it’s way to FJ.

Yes. It's 76 pages of allegations, complaints, and grievences by former contributors. CA released a document refuting much of the big claims from it, and the PR was handled so poorly, they entire site self-exiled. Go check the website now, their list or contributors is empty, save for Guru Larry who is riding it like a storm, and making fun of it on Twitter like a madman.

Normally I'd agree, but a lot of the former community managers and site-contributors of CA stepped up and confirmed it. Nothing is still proven, but it's a PR disaster, and if you manage a brand, you'd want off that ship before it sinks.

I don't know about that, I stopped following CA back when they were still TGWTG, and even then I only watched NC. You'd have to consult someone else about the details of the people involved.

Well actually, a lot of the shit they complain about are things they couldn't go to the authorities about, either because nothing expressely illegal happened, the thing that happened was from so long ago all evidence would be gone by now, or they couldn't complain because of a contract they signed because of niavety/inexperience.

Also, yes, a lot of accusations with no evidence to back them up, though some actually have screenshots to serve as proof.

I don't know whether to believe it or not, to be honest; some of the people involved with making the document have a bad track record, or none that i'm aware of, others seem a LOT more trustworthy.

I THINK this would have already faded into obscurity if it wasn't for ChannelAwesome's INCREDIBLY BAD response, which basically boiled down to calling these people liars, while only addressing less than half of the accusations, and even the ones they adressed and called lies they didn't even prove wrong (which, for some of them, should have been very easy).

But I suspect, like any other internet-drama, that it will fade away in a week or two and people will forget.

If nothing has been brought to a real court, then it really doesn't matter.
