- War doesn't make money, it COSTS money.
entering a war can create jobs - people gotta make bombs and guns and stuff
also it creates a need for soldiers
do you have any idea how much the defense industry makes...
at the risk of thinking you are a total fucking moron...
ill just think you're 13 theres a reason they call it an industry
it takes up most of the GNP of the united states...
industrialists make money,,,
they just dont give any to YOUR stupid ass
There is some what of an economic phenomena with war and its effects on the economy.
For a short amount of time, it can provide a temporary stimulation of the economy. However, past a certain point, which no economist can really agree on where that point is - besides that it is selective for the particular country and its condition at the time - but at that point it started to default.
War doesn't make money for the countries.
It does for oil execs, weapon manufacturers, and the like.
who do you think runs the country?
As somebody personally familiar with the industry, pennies. Peace and progress makes FAR more money. You make far more selling an ipad to every villager every few years than u would off the missile that takes the village out.
but it does help the economy
it did get us out of the great depression
But at what cost?
so lets kill people so we an have a slightly more luxuries than everyone else.....makes sense?
Taking all your unemployed and shipping them off to war tends to help your unemployment figures.
But wars only destroy.
That's the reason the US wage their wars abroad.
It costs the other countries money for rebuilding.
Roosevelt's policies and alphabet soup programs did absolutely nothing to help the economy.
In fact, the economy was naturally retaining itself, the Second World War did more than help your unemployment figures. It set a precedent that would effect the future as we now know it. The United States heavily benefited from the Second World War, in that it retained possessions across the world, submitted itself as the new official dominating power of the west, began the Cold War (a huge economic thriller,) and formed the Military Industrial Complex.
I'd argue this war grew America, rather than destroyed it.
Roosevelt created, like
a lot of jobs
He created a lot of unnecessary jobs to make it appear that the economy was getting better. It simply was not.
He forced a labor market, the economy never naturally recovered until the stimulation of the Second World War.
Yeah, Herbert Hoover was great for the Great Depression.
Don't take these economic tidbits from politically motivated partisan economics.

- This one is fake, but there are pilots who fly that close to, …
like a pilot
Believe it or not, the planes aren't modified structurally. Most planes in the US that fly into hurricanes are mostly a standard C-130 with additional instrumentation and fuel tanks, but nothing added to the airframe.
It's actually kinda cool, you can fly a normal plane of moderate size through really big storms and come out without any ill effects if you're a good enough pilot.

I HAVE THE POWER OF GOD
When I saw this before I read a comment that it was actually the police officer on the lawn mower
You can rent police cars for film. You just have to contact your local police department. They usually have a few police cars with blank registration numbers that filmmakers can use for film purposes.
The cop could be a friend and in on the joke.

I'm honestly not sure how the fuck to even type that.
I tried the Binary version, 894, but that just prints a tilda.
On windows, I think it's control+alt+ the character code in hexadecimal.
On most Linux distributions, it's control+shift+u+ the character code in hexadecimal.
