your wrong about the purpose of wisdom teeth. Human jaws were originally longer than they are now, to help us chew plant matter better. However, that changed with the advent of agriculture.
The 'lack of necessity' for wisdom teeth is a direct result of human technological evolution having an effect on our own adaption. If we had never invented bread, our jaws would not have shrunk, and wisdom teeth would come in cleanly. Already, people are being born without full sets of wisdom teeth. At some point in the next thousand years or so, they will likely disappear entirely.
The idea that wisdom teeth are somehow there to replace teeth that decay is wrong twice over. It is wrong on the count that this is not what wisdom teeth exist for, and it is wrong because it is only concentrated forms of sugar, salt, and fiber the likes of which only occur in modern foods that do not occur naturally (such as breads, ironically) that causes tooth decay. If you only ever consumed raw fruits, raw vegetables, and cooked meats (all pre-agricultural foods), you would never need to brush you're teeth to prevent tooth decay. you're teeth are meant to last a lifetime against such a level of wear and tear.
It is also a rather philarious contenterous idea for practical purpose. Humans are much more likely to lose their front teeth to chipping, breakage, or disease than their molars. If any teeth would be 'flipped' like those of a shark, it would be the incisors and canines, not the molars. They also would not only be 'flipped' once. The shark system works because they can be replaced indefinitely.
Much like how human evolution is slowly removing the wisdom teeth entirely, our teeth are also adapting to be resistant to the decay caused by exposure to modern foods. At some point in the future, we will likely no longer
cavities, much like how our wisdom teeth will no longer come in.
Smaller jaws that cannot fit wisdom teeth as well as the need for oral hygiene are both caused by agriculture.
The appendix can serve to keep an active culture of intestinal bacteria in the event of diarrhea. Whenever you get prolonged diarrhea, such as viral enteritis or salmonellosis, you flush most of the bacteria out of you're colon to get rid of the pathogen. However, you flush you're normal well tolerated bacteria away as well. Therefore, a huge opportunity arises for different species of bacteria to come to power-like a military coup. This could result in Clostridum dificil colitis, caused by a bacterium that is present but in low numbers normally. (Which causes an entire month of frequent diarrhea if untreated) If you have an appendix, you're normal bacteria can return because they are tucked away safely from the merciless flow in the rest of the colon. Therefore, they crowd out the nasty bacteria like C diff. This is why stool transplants work-you take feces full of normal intestinal fauna and transfer to someone infected with C diff, and they crowd out the nasty bacteria.
BTW, the liver always makes bile, the gallbladder just stores it for release after a fatty meal. Therefore, after a cholecystectomy, an excessively fatty meal might cause oily stool since less bile is available for emulsification, leading to poor absorption.
As far as I knew that was only speculation, it was also speculated to be an organ to help us digest tough vegetation when we were still herbivores. Also I heard completely different about the gall, huh.
