So I've been thinking, as I expect some of you have too, about the recent happenings. From what Yahoo news tells me, the bombs at the marathon were set by a pair of brothers who were motivated to do so because of the wars in Iraq and Afganistan.
I don't know if that's accurate or what part of it set them off if it is. I have a few guesses that don't take a degree in psychology to come up with, but they're just guesses.
The most likely reason in my mind is that they were trying to bring attention to one of the more messed up facets of our society and our world. This seems most likely to me because while I agree that bombing people is the wrong way to go about it, it's something that I've been trying to figure out how to do for a long time.
So I started wondering on it on my walk home today and I think I need to find some other similarly minded people and try thinking up ways to improve the societies that we're stuck with. After all, Change doesn't come from sitting and hoping.
My hope is that we can either find or start a chat board or something and maybe work out little things that we can do to make life more bearable. I don't know about many of you, but there are times when I'm dangerously close to being those brothers.
So if nothing else, I'd appreciate it if someone could point me at such a discussion. I'll also try to pretty up some of my ideas and post them normally for individual feedback because I know that I don't think of everything.
So good day and happy laughs.
