I have a theory, that you can take any thing,
any household object, any abstract concept, etc.
and make quite a decent life metaphor
Just by naming that objects basic functions.
a few examples:
Life is like a sock.
It starts to stink after a while.
Life is like a girlfriend.
You' d like to have a few, though you can
barely handle one.
Also, a lot of people don' t have one.
Life is like a book.
Some are long and boring, some are
awesome. Some shouldn' t exist.
Life is like a toilet.
People tend to shit on it.
Life is like a chair.
It gets interesting once you get
out of your comfort zone.
Life is like a hat.
Some are hard, some are pretty cool.
Life is like a river.
This is an example of a Boring metaphor.
Life is like a bus stop.
You have to wait for your ride. Sometimes it' s late,
sometimes it' s early, but you still have to wait, pay
your fee and get on it. Because you Have to get to
another stop, and then another, and the another and
you really don' t feel like walking, cause youve all the
way here in town center, and you live quite far away,
so walking would take you what? like hours? it' s
dark and cold for christ sake. And you don' t have
enough money for a cab, I mean who does these
days? The gap between the rich and the poor got so
ridiculous, that if you have enough money for a cab,
you probably have enough for a fucking Ferrari. Also,
try avoiding bus stops in bad neighborhoods, cause
you might get beaten up by chew.
