I Cereal guy
orig . The original comic was first posted on the
forums in 2007 by graphic designer Bob Averill (username
The comic was about a couple‘ s
argument over the phone, pared iag commercials for Reese
Putty with the tagline "Candy? For BREAKFAST?'.

The comic was quickly recognized and especially the first frame was
soon accepted as a generically fun expression. However it wasn' t
before somewhere in 2009 that the character would resurface on
mien where anons would use the first frame as a reaction picture.
Though he quickly became known as "Cereal Guy", m a short
time he would go by the name "STFU when I' m talkin ', bat this
name dida' t really catch on.
The first version of cereal guy, as taken directly from the original
comic, was poorly shaped. Not long after its popularity as an
internet meme was recognized, another /batard repainted him in a
Web 2. version where he now had his most known round shape.
2: Awesome face
Orig The "Awesome Face ' or just "Awesome"
was originally painted by a female anon who also happened to
be a member of the forum, though it was first
posted on a forum called . Accourding to its
female creator. she had drawn the smiley as a part of an
emoticon set for their new forum software. She said she wanted
it to represent a "ridiculous childish glee". She said she is not
entirely sure herself as to why it became so popular from such a
small, unknown forum, but she assumes that one of the forum' s
users might have posted it on man from where it quickly
spread around the internet.
3 Forever Alone Guy
Origin; sadly. not much is known about Forever Alone
Guy' s original roots, intends or creator, bat I still
think I ought to include him. It is known to have
been created somewhere around April 2010 and is
believed to be a mutation of the Rage Guy comics.
The meme itself quickly became popular,
especially on popular image boards and forums
including ychan, Tumblr and Funnyjunk.
Origin: "O RLY?" is probably one of the oldest memes on the internet
and to this day it is still being kept alive. The first known
example ofthe phrase "O RLY?" being used comes from the
Somethingneu forums in 2003 where it was used in a thread
cane What was the weirdest/ funniest answer you ever put on
a test? . Username "Fantasti potamus" replied with a post with
the repeated phrase All work and no play makes Jack a dull
boy" (reference to The Shining', 1980) followed by " rly? Best
essay ever."
The infamous snow owl picture was originally taken by media
photographer John White in 2001 where he posted it on
aat. bonar' and labelled it "Silly Face".
It is believed that it was Behan that first picked up the picture and
added its caption, "O RLY?". The concept that spawned from
this picture is also believed by some to be the originator to the
concept of adding a caption to an image of cute or silly animals.
one of the prime examples from today is the "Lama' s" meme.
