I mean, there are players who roll good base stats and do entire level skips in school. You can go for the fastest speed possible in the racing portions, but your wanting rating goes up pretty fast. Sometimes you catch a disease and the game gets timed, but your console might get bricked instead.

Pro tip: bicycles are a cheap early option but you have to be careful about carry weight and your reserve energy. They're great for slowly leveling strength over time.

It's the fanfic by Ryuugi. It's a RWBY/The Gamer "crossover", in that Jaune gains his Semblance and it's the Gamer ability. For what it's worth, I read this story before I watched RWBY and it didn't inhibit my fun with it at all.

The problem is that in many skills in real life your XP is constantly dropping unless you're practicing the given skill.
Think about fitness for example, or lifing weights... this XP system can really freak you out
