Hello everyone, and welcome to another Monster Hunter fact comp! This time, we'll be going into cities, as every series thus far in the Monster Hunter franchise has some kind of important significance to the Guild.
Kokoto is near the Verdant Hills, and is known to many as one of two things, the first village they ever hunted in, or a random ass town in Generations. While Kokoto isn't too important, it is the home of a very important person, who's name is lost to time, the Kokoto Hero. A sword and shield user from old days, he was known for slaying a Black Fatalis single-handedly. His sword and shield were, at the time, the only weapons made of elder dragon bone, one of the strongest materials known to man. After he left Kokoto, he left his sword and shield near a tree, only removable by Hunters who had slain the fearsome rathalos. Currently, numerous blacksmiths are trying to create the Kokoto Hero's gear, recently being able to reforge his SnS, as well as making a pair of dual blades and a set of matching armor.
Kokoto Hunters' uniform is the standard "Hunter's Armor"
While not too much is known about Minegarde, it is a fortress built into a crag of some kind. It has a large mining and smithing industry. However, that's really all I could gather about it, sorry.
Minegarde's Hunters' uniform is the "Bone Armor"
Jumbo Village is a small village found near the Jungle, and like Kokoto, is the birthplace of another old hero. Another SnS user, this hero was known for slaying the mighty Lunastra, as well as possibly slaying a Laoshen Lung. It also is famous for having a large export of mushrooms.
Dundorma, aka the capital of the Guild. This city is a massive warfortress smack-dab in the middle of numerous monster-riddled territories. Numerous elder dragons, rare species, and other creatures live mere miles from the city walls, in the unknown forests. Dundorma is home to numerous branches of the guild, from medical to transportation, but is home to a very important Wyvernian, His Immenseness. The largest Hunter known to man, due to a birth defect allowed this Wyvernian to grow to about twenty to thirty feet tall. He leads the guild, as well as a special division called the Elder Dragon Watch, a group dedicated to hunting and tracking elder dragons, deviants, and hyper and apex inflected monsters, and assign G-Rank Hunters to hunt down these creatures. Dundorma itself is also home to the most monster hunting gear in the Old World, from massive cannons to rail guns, to net traps, harpoons, and everything between.
Pokke Village is a small village near the Arctic Ridge. It is a mass exporter of quartz and machalite, as well as famous for it's anteka population. It also was the location of the slaying of a black fatalis, rumored to be the Fatalis the hero of Kokoto had slain. After the fatalis was killed, it's remains were forged into a massive sword and chained to the wall and floors, preventing the Fatalis' regeneration to bring the beast to life. It can be mined with a dragon pickaxe (Runescape pls), and reward with Black Items, used to forge armor and weapons.
It's Hunters' uniform is the Mafumofu Armor.
Moga Village, found on Moga Isle, is home of the fish people, and the largest fishing exporter in the Old World and the known New World. It is home to the Guild's two and only Shakalah hunters, Cha-Cha and Kayumba, and a frequent stop for the Argosy Captain, a renown wyvernian trader and longsword user.
Loc Lac, a massive trade city believed to be at the south side of the Great Dunes. Loc Lac is an important city for the Guild as it is extremely wealthy, giving large apartments for it's hunters for no cost. Loc Lac got it's wealth from a very dangerous sport, Jhen Mohran hunting. Using sand skirmishers, hunters travel across the perilous dunes hunting Jhens for their rare and precious gems and minerals. However, few return home, and even fewer return home with a Mohran in tow.
Yukumo Village, found near the Misty Peaks, and home to the best hot springs in the known world. It gains a lot of popularity due to it's magic hot springs, being able to heal any pains and ailments hunters experience. It also has special trees that only grow in this area, being a large lumber exporter.
The Hunters' uniform is simply called "Yukimo Armor"
Port Tanzia, one of the most important cities to the guild, as it is the first line of defense against a world-destroyer monster, the Dire Miralis. In fact, Tanzia was built for the sole purpose of being a lookout tower for the Miralis, it's current resting place being only a few miles from the Port. Tanzia has an ancient lighthouse, and only burns when the Miralis awakens, signaling the end of times.
Val Habar, a large trading city found on what is believed to be the North side of the Great Dunes. This is city is built to hunt Mohrans similar to Loc Lac, but instead hunt Dah'ren Mohrans, not the behemoth Jhens. However, Dah'rens do not have a set travelling path through the dunes, so the city adapted, being entirely mobile. Every building in Val Habar can be folded up and driven about, the city travelling to a few locations along the Dunes.
Harth, smithing capital of the world, located near the Volcanic Hollow, and home to a mole/dwarf people race called the Troverians. The Troverians are bound to the earth, being a blessing and a curse. Blessing as they can smell out ores wherever they go, but a curse as their life is tied to the flowing lava of the nearby Volcanoes. They are extremely efficent in their craft, some being said to have taught the Wyverians the way of the forge.

Sunsnug Isle, a small island near the village is the Captial for the Meownster Hunters, a Prowler run branch of the Guild, and sword to extreme secrecy, usually transfering messages to members via arrows. Cheeko Sands, however, is also home to a legend. Rumors say that the late Chieftess' Husband recieved a blade belong to that of an old hero, and before he passed, stuck the sword in to some rocks on Sunset Isle. The blade appears identical to the Kokoto Hero's blade, and get this, a local Felyne, Fraidy Cat, was raised by the same warrior that left the sword here at the Sands. Fraidy also was given a shield before the hero left, which also looks almost identical to the Hero's Shield from Kokoto.
Cathar, found by Heaven's Mount and Speartip Crag, and believed to be on Shiki Island, homeland of the Wyvernians. Here, a powerful sage and the Village's spiritual guide lives in isolation from the rest of the village, locked away in a cave. He's also the Jumbo Chief's Big Brother, but that's not too important. The Hunters' uniform is the "Bherna Armor"

Mezeporta, the third most important city to the Guild, and the hub for Online and Frontier. Here, numerous Wyvernian Hunters gather, seeking glory and fame from the difficult and foreign monsters found in lands to the east and west of the mainland. Here, a group of young humans, named the Masters, are a group of hunters who dedicate their lives to mastering a specific weapon and it's arts.
