    A $800 budget gaming build

    A $800 budget gaming build

What's up everyone, this is Besle back again after yet another long period of silence. As fellow Funnyjunker foodyquest requested a new build from me, i set upon my quest to make this build.

The build is a $800 budget build, with focus on both gaming and some general purpose work, and i'll discuss some of the possible upgrade possibilities for this build, as it starts getting older.

    The CPU
The CPU chosen for this build is the last-gen 7nm Ryzen 5 3600. Currently succeeded by the rarely in-stock Ryzen 5 5600x, the Ryzen 5 3600 still offers noteworthy performance and great value for the money. It's a 6-core, 12-thread model, that does well for general productivity and games. In pure gaming performance, something like the 10600K would be a better overall choice, albeit a pricier one as well.

    The CPU Cooler
The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Black. A revision of the famous 212 Evo with new fans, and a more sleek design. Generally decent value all-around, with good thermals and good noise levels for the money.
This is a secondary part, and can be skipped if you want to save a few extra bucks. If you're easily stressed by noice, or want the absolute best performance through auto-overclock, this should not be skipped however.

    Rate my rig

I've got a new case and PSU in the mail, I have several of these adapters and everything else is fine, so it's all cool.

Side intake nicked an adapter and melted it, so the GPU shut down.

So, in the meantime, my PC will rock this stylish look, featuring such things as:
    -open case design
    -cables, some even managed.
    -direct exhaust intake
    -external exhaust (stacked)
    -mystery fan
-and of course, essential RGB lighting

    My 2021 setup

not 100% perfect but it'll do.

Cougar Gaming 'sofa' (its a Recliner)
    Two Ikea gertons
    Phillips Hue Lights
Trinket chest (Currently for some cards I am collecting the art for a game I am working on)
and a few statues to fill the empty space cause I had a lot more than I imagined.

I know the Cable management isn't perfect, the stuff I got off amazon sucked. thinking about getting some raceways.

Help me shop for my PC

    Hello everyone

I have a PC thats pretty damn decent but my motherboard, ram and processor are becoming a little outdated. I know absoutely nothing about PCs for the most part and have no idea what to look for in motherboards and processors. I am looking to replace them and I am willing to spend about $250 on each component ($250ish for a motherboard, $250ish for RAM. Etc) and was wondering if you guys could help me out with finding ones that meet my requirements.

This is what I have currently
    Kingston Hyper X 32gb 2133mhz DDR3 ram
ASUS M5A99FX EVO R2.0 mother board with AMD FX8150 processor

I want an ASUS mother board. $250 range. I want 64gb DDR4 at a minimum but would someday like to get up to 128GB. So ideally I'd like something with 4 slots that can take a 32gb stick each. I also would like the motherboard to be RGB enabled because I am a loser
I want Corsair RGB DDR4 RAM. 64gb minimum but someday would like 128gb as I mentioned. My only concern with this is I know nothing about what DDR is. Is there higher than DDR4? Is there another type of RAM that you recommend?
Lastly I want an AMD processor. I would like it to be pretty good, around the $250 range. I understand processors are usually really expensive and I'll get what I pay for but that's all I can afford. I know nothing about processors and what makes them good or compatable with a motherboard I want.
If you know a processor is pretty good and is somewhat over the $250 range please still recommend it as I'm willing to put some extra cash for it. Same goes for motherboards
Please let me know what you guys recommend.!

Here's my full PC set up for reference

    Asus 8GB 1070TIs, x2 SLI
    Kingston HyperX DDR3 32gb 2133mhz ram
    Corsair RM 850x power supply
ASUS M5A99FX EVO R2.0 mother board with AMD FX8150 processor
Seagate FireCuda 2TB Solid State Hybrid Drive Performance SSHD – 3.5 Inch SATA 6Gb/s Flash
    Windows 10
