the idea stems from the universe revolving around earth, because god created it with tiny floating sun and moon above it

Agh, I hate that argument so much

Politics, science and religion should not be at odds with one another, in fact if used properly they can be gestalt, as they work in perfect synergy.

In an ideal world, science gives us useful technology, religion teaches us spiritual conduct, if done right, and politics gives us the best way to live our lives.

That's why I /facepalm when I see a couple of ******** arguing the "Science vs. religion" debate.

I don't see what's wrong with science being at odds with religion. If a religion disagrees with objective reality, it can **** off. And if it doesn't then it's OK for people to practice in private. That is the end for me.

I'd very much like religion to stay the hell away from my politics and sciences, thank you very much.

Agreed. If religion attempts to tread on scientific territory when it comes to reality it can go to hell, however I am a cherry-picker when it comes to spirituality. I ignore the absurd and embrace the useful, as much as Bruce Lee sorts out the useful and useless techniques in martial arts.

Hence why religion needs to be reformed. It is useful, but requires people to refine it so it becomes useful to the masses - I am doing this myself, and it has made me into a better man. People trust me because they know I have good intentions, even sharing with me their deepest, darkest secrets without prompt, as well as offering me positions of authority.

This is why I have so much faith in mysticism. When done right it can improve one's life. Religion and Science are different paradigms of thought, but both have their benefits that need not conflict with one another. While science takes priority as it deals in subjective reality, religion can "fill the cracks", as it were.

The timescales of this **** historically are measured by the MILLENIA. We haven't got a ******* clue if we're the cause or not, but politicians sure do love using it to tax the **** out of us.
