Well. A lot has happened since the last time I uploaded. A bit less than a year in- game has passed.
So far. I have had quite a few adventurers come join my fort for the purpose of adventuring down below. Here we have one visiting warrior fighting off troglodytes, before being interrupted by a treehugger caravan. I didn't show any trading, but the most I got from that caravan was a giant dingo and a giant firefly.
It has been a while since I got any new citizens, so I was hoping for a migrant wave soon.
And my wish was answered. And then some.
I also eventually got my moat done. I also set a floodgate off to the side so I can let some water into some chambers underground that I will be using to raise animals and crops.
And here we get our first strange mood dwarf. For those of you who don't play DF, basically this means that he is going to whine about needing certain items. When he gets those items, he will create a masterpiece.
And then we get more migrants.
And a war pangolian. I was going to cut the content here and leave a cliffhanger.
...but there were very little losses. Mainly just some animals and one person. I didn't even get to kill the thing.
And the masterpiece construction was a chair.
A nice chair or something.
We also got a baby.
Somebody went insane.
And more migrants showed up.
We have a lot more people and animals now, many of which are just adventures who decided that Tileshcilob would be a great place to hunt monsters. I haven't really focused on constructing a military just due to the sheer quantity of dedicated monster hunters in my fortress.
Also, so far one of my chief exports have been Elk Birds which are described as follows. I keep capturing the things and other civilizations seem to love them.
Here is a quick overview of the fort so far. I'll try to create a 3D model of it later. I am aware that the layout would be a bit confusing, especially to someone who doesn't play DF.
Right now I am working on setting up some underground pens next to the channel I dug outside and I am working on setting up a minecart track to transport materials to and from my magma workshops location. I haven't even begun to work on setting up the arena yet.
I am probably forgetting to mention some other things too. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions. I probably should be updating more frequently.
Oh, and the first forgotten beast showed up.
