Greetings! I am Dianthus the bard, and today I will be telling the tale of a recent adventure I was told of by a few at the Angry Rooster last evening. As any exploration goes in the new world the stories are all different, even between the four in this party.
I began by asking Braun Onyxheart, the toughest dwarf in Jaberin about this dungeon. He spoke of wishes for treasure and wealth, and sought companions to explore this dungeon. Before arriving at the dungeon they traveled through a forest known to be filled with countless magic creatures. Creatures known as Ettercaps lay to the north where they traveled, I can assure you they are not to be trifled with. The dwarf claimed to have slain a few on their way to the dungeon.
I next spoke to Fiona Lauren, a self proclaimed master of the rapier and a champion of swordplay. As they walked through the dungeon she attempted to pierce the walls with her adamantine weapon, but to no avail..she supposed they were magical. She spoke of many more creatures within this dungeon, one of which was an ent. All claimed it was awoken after the potion seller of the party attempted to collect some of the acorns in this dungeon. Strange for trees to grow in a place such as that, don’t you think? The fight was going poorly with the Ent and in fact Fiona claims she died in that fight, though she sat there in front of me in the tavern. She also showed me a magical necklace she obtained from the ent saying it could produce balls of fire at command!
Despite his goading to gamble I got my story out of him. Enrico the Potion Seller regaled me with a different story. He claims to have needed potion ingredients and just been bored at his shop, so he tagged along. He actually found a sword in the dungeon named “Purity” that he claimed could produce fire at the will of the wielder. Infact, during the story he showed me the sword and in fact it was no lie! the sword Purity is real I can assure you. While the others claimed he drank an invisibility potion to run, he was returning to find the sword. He returned to the fray with the sword and no doubt was all that stood between the adventurers and defeat.
I was not able to speak to Dyikar, but from what I have seen of his combat prowess he was likely instrumental in the defeat of the Ettercaps & the Ent.
I was also told of a goblin that was also found in the dungeon who was tossing about coins and jewels, and ran when seen by the party. They took not the fortunes and believed them cursed. Later when they had vanished Enrico believed Braun had stolen them, but Braun was adamant that he was no richer from a single goblins coin in that place.
