What we know about Nero comes from accounts by his enemies mostly so its unclear how much of it is reliable. What we do know is that Nero promoted the arts heavily and favored the common man over the aristocracy and nobility. Hence why they hated him.

Fun fact: there were at least 3 rebellions led by people claiming that Nero's suicide was faked and that they were Nero so people generally liked him also she is best girl
