Just getting this off my chest.
One of the parts of FunnyJunk that I love is that when you post OC the worst that will happen is that it won't get traction or it'll get thumbed down. Best case scenario you get some really great comments about your content and some traction on the site.
I'm a small-time YouTube creator in my spare time and whenever I make a new video I share it on FunnyJunk, Reddit, and Tumblr to share my work a bit.
I ******* hate Reddit. I know I'm preaching to the choir here but what a bunch of assholes. The mods will straight-up remove your posts half the times because they consider it self-promotion to post a video that you made instead of a video someone else made and not using their paid promotions for embedded posts. Half the time when mods don't remove your post it's one of two outcomes.
If you're lucky you'll get some great comments from the community of users sharing their favourite parts of the related game or topic.
Most of the time you aren't lucky and instead you get a, and I'm not ******* joking, a ******* WALL of text calling out every single "mistake" you made in the content you made. Quote blocks of text for literally every sentence line-by-line of someone PISSED that you would DARE call their favourite game anything less than perfect. What a bunch of ******* unaware babies. It's ********* believable.
Redditors will read a prompt, look for any mistakes that could even remotely be pulled out and misunderstood from the text possible, and then point them out as if it's a meaningful contribution to the post without actually answering the prompt. I ******* hate Reddit man but I keep sharing my videos there because it genuinely gets the most eyes on my content.
All in all, what I'm trying to say here is thank you FunnyJunk. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and thank you for being the tiny little mess of a website that we are because at least we have the freedom to say and post what we want. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
Post [Thanks Fag, Merry Christmas] in the comments if you read this far and are based enough not to fear a ban.
