    Romanian Church announced The Prison Saints pre-canonization
    On February 25, 2021, in the Palace of the Patriarchate of Bucharest, under the presidency of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, the working meeting of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church took place.

    At the same meeting, the following decision was also taken:

    The beginning of the canonization of some Romanian confessors and great missionary clergymen during communism, in 2025, on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the autocephaly of the Romanian Orthodox Church (1885) and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Romanian Patriarchate (1925).

    The metaphorical phrase "Prison saints" refers to some of the sons and daughters of our Church who died for their faith in the Romanian concentration camp gulag, established by the dictatorship of atheist communism, following the model experienced by the Soviets. From priests which preached their faith to the cultural elite of the country, all were taken and thrown away to rot away in jails, regarding of actions.

    Orthodox Chant: Cry for my Soul
    "Cry my Soul Always" is a christian Chant Hymn, steming from the ukrainian-orthodox Choral / Chant tradition. It reflects on the fact that we are all going to die and therefor asks us to lead a good life where we focus on the important eternal things as well facing our current situation as spirits.
