Under the command of Cambyses II the Persian troops in the battle of Pelusium, near today's Port Said, defeated the Egyptians and conquered their lands in the Levant.
Later on the Greek historian Herodot found the scattered skeletons of the soldiers that have fallen during the battle. In his curiosity, he found out that, if you throw a pebble at a Persian skull it will break easily and leave an eye sized hole. The Egyptian skulls according to him "You won't break them so easily", even if you throw a larger stone. He explained "The Egyptians shave their heads as children and rarely grow any hair, while the Persians like to cover their heads with silks and other light fabrics."

The Greek general Alcibiades is accused of cutting off penis-statues of the god Hermes in Athena, committing a serious religious crime that shocked everybody.

The statues were in the form of a massive male sexual organ with the "head" replaced with the face of the God Hermes (which also invented masturbation). Alcibiades during that time was fighting the Syracusians on Sicily (when he returned to Athene he was executed for his crimes).

Commanding the Bithynians during the naval battle against Pergamonians, the exiled Hannibal ordered his soldiers to throw clay cups full of snakes. Chaos erupted and the Kingdom of Pergamon was quickly defeated.
