during the 9 years that I've been here in Funnyjunk, I've posted multiple times trying to have serious discussions with people, and although sometimes that happened and I could get useful, valuable insights from people, a lot of the times or most of the times the response I got was, basically, "You ccame her eto Funnyjunk, a meme site, to have a serious discussion?". And although often times, what I did was just brush it off and think to myself"well, this is a platform were people can freely communicate and that's what I'm taking advantage of#, now I've come to the conlcusion that they were right.
Certain places have crtain energy, the people in those places conglomerate around a single intention, expressed in multiple, more or less diverse way, but there's an intention that binds them together. At a bar, people go to **** themselves up, basicaly to drink, and some also go to get laaid or have some eyes upon them, but yeah, you can tell there's a general feeling and the feeling is of inconscience. At a gym there's another feeling, at a bar, at a dojo. Different spaces alocated to different intents.
II think FJ's intent is to play the fool, to not take anything seriously and, at the core of it, it's to get dopamine hits either from looking at memes or masturbating. End of the day, you end up spending 4-5 hours at a time, if you have them, on looking at memes, going after the other, and another, another and another, and only pausing for when your dick or your chemicals have recovered enough to allow for another explosion in the **** section.
I've spent a lot of time smoking weed, and although I can also see how many adverse effects came from t, I would say my the drug of choice that really destroyed me was coming hre and browsing thorugh memes on end. Even when I smoked, if I didn't have such easy comforts available, I would write or dance or draw and that at least was somewhat 'productive'. Pooductive being a very dead word to describe being alive.
So, what I decided now is to lay off Funnyjunk for good.
Here, what you see in this post, the channel that you're posting in, represents the only good thing that I did in Funnyjunk, that I created. SIG stands for "Self Improvement General" and I do admit that's one of the cool things I discovered in this site, I learned of the existence of /SIG/ threads through the 4chan posts in FJ. They're my favoirte thing, they capture the spirit of what I want to be and what I feel humanity is about, and I was very glad to be part of it. -
This channel represented my effort to try to bring up or our, the people who came to this site who felt worthless or who were just wasting away their lives, to bring them up or put from the Darkness into the Light. Should've focused myslef more on my own teachings or suggestions, I suppose (I know now) instead of trying to get everyone to a place I wasn't even on yet, just dreaming about,
But yeah, this channel re´resents things that I took seriously and that were the highest advice, knowledge, or anything that could bring me to the best version of myself, and also, in other words, the best things that I thought I could give to another person, or not directly give perhaps in the cases in which it's knowledge or psots I didn't create, but pass it on. Now, I also learned that with some knowledge, it's not selfish to use it yourself. Sometimes knnowledge is like a very pretty silvdr platter that you want to pass around, and people pass around, but nobody uses it. Or like a fruit that could cure people but instead of takig abite out of it, people just pass it around. There comes a time someone needs to, instead of just pass it, use it themselves. PErhaps we all have our own angels, our own divine guidance, and if you feel something you found is gold, it's intended for you to use it, at least for you to use it first and perhaps then later you'll br able to pass it on to someone else and have it help them as well, but if you only pass it, and the people you pass it to pass it on themselves, then everybody's passing that gold but nobody's really using it.
Anyway, so, the channel will remain here, and if someone thinks it's valuable to have others come across it feel free to repost the content, inside the channel, so more people get to stumble on it, but also, in spirit of what I jsut read, it might just be better that, if you came aross it and it resonates with you, jsut apply it in your own life. don't fall for the temptation of thinking it would be better to let others know, because in my experience, you pass on the responsibility of suing such sacred knowledge instead of applying it yourslef. If it's Gold and you know it, use it. Thank yourself for recognizing it for what it is.
And yeah, right now that's exactly what I'll be doing. I've passed across the point-of-no-return multiple times.
