So it's been a while since I put out any updates on my situation. This time it is pretty much all good news. I got approved for both long term disability and SSI, since my condition was found to be severe. The SSI will be a lump sum for January through May, for the majority of the time I have not been receiving disability.
I will start getting disability in June, and there will be no back pay as I had first thought, as you have to have been disabled for five months before you can begin collecting. Also it will always be a month behind apparently, so I will be getting May's on the last Wednesday of June. I am not sure if anyone is curious as to how much it will be providing me a month or not. I do not wish to seem like I am bragging or anything, as the related health stuff is not fun.
I will also be switching to at home dialysis, so I can be much more comfortable during it. I still have the artificial artery as a backup that I need to have the final surgery on to make it superficial/close to the skin, as my veins are all abnormally deep.
For my birthday in advance I got the first pair of shorts I've had in ages just in time for summer, a nice pillow, and a collapsible hammock stand so I can use my hammock as a bed in my room and also save space.
In some other less great news now half the time after I finish dialysis, for up to a day and a half afterward my blood pressure will plummet rapidly whenever I am standing and/or walking and then I have to sit on the ground for a bit before I fall. [The sensation is very strange and feels terrible. Also during it if I do not sit fast enough I lose most of my vision to darkness and lose up to all of my hearing, will also suddenly sweat a lot and generally feel like shit.]
Now back to good stuff, the first thing I will get is a decent sewing machine so I can tailor myself a few suits and vests [I want to eventually have a ton of suits and tailcoats.]. Get moar Bionicle related parts so I can finish a large project that is on hold, get a collapsible light box for presentation quality improvements. Buy some prostheses and then alter each with a different permanently attached false beard and/or mustache, as I no longer grow more than a tiny bit of hair due to the chemo I had. Rejoin the gym [Going to the gym really helps with concentrating on exercise, and I want good muscles when I die so I look epic in my death armor.] Get new glasses.
I have other plans as well, but I will bring them up once progress is made. I will of course upload any completed projects.
Now to join the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything.
