Worked at TSA, if you go into the X-ray machine then you need a helmet and legal guardian. Also the radio frequency machines can only find anomalies that don't contour to a normal body shape (no we didn't catalog erections so they do show up as an anomoly). I've had to Pat down around boners, pretty annoying but not like angering or anything. If I notice it, I send em back out and make em face a machine and flex their legs till it's gone unless they want time to be wasted. (I don't even think they have Pat down lines either...)

usually the metal detector is in-between the X-ray machine and scanner, scanners that do a circle around you are not X-ray machines.

our management never scheduled enough people. we had a day where precheck had to be right next to main lane because we had to have lead and supe checking for both

They changed that I think. Last time I went it was "stand at the x arms on your side" no helmet.

I meant, if you crawl on the conveyor belt and go through the X-ray machine that checks your bags, you're literally retarded, might require a helmet and need a legal guardian. The large scanner uses a range of waves that's safe for humans. Including the molecules in you that like to heat up from say... microwaves.
