Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV 19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Galatians 6:8-10 NASB 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. 10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. Acts 1:9-11 NASB 9 And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them. 11 They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.” Revelation 21:4 NASB and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” God's Word gives us such hope. In this first verse, we see that on the Day, we(Christ's body, His church) will have everything that we are and have done, tested by His purifying fire. What remains, what stays, will actually bring us a reward of some kind. What is burned away is all that is not Holy, and we will suffer some kind of loss, but we ourselves will be saved. The only things which will truly last abide in God's Word. That's why we don't set our hearts, our hopes, and our actions simply on things of this world, which are only temporary. We set our hearts on Christ, because He is our strong and unshakable foundation, He is our protector, our advocate, He has paid our debt and set us free. Everything done in God's love will remain and all else will pass away. So serve Him cheerfully in spreading His love, especially to our family in Christ. He will come from the clouds and wipe away our every tear, ending all that is not Holy, all our suffering, bringing us into an eternity of paradise. Set your heart on that today. Our circumstances are only temporary. Our glory is eternal, in Jesus Christ. join list: Seekandyouwillfind (109 subs)Mention History next +70 -Favorite +Favorite Unsub from WootBoot Subscribe to WootBoot Unblock User's Content Block User's Content Sub/Block Channels christianity:UploadUnblockBlockSubUnsubsubs: 103 CHRISTCHANNEL:UploadUnblockBlockSubUnsubsubs: 41 Bibleposting:UploadUnblockBlockSubUnsubsubs: 51 Want FJ to keep running?
