I wanted one till I saw its one of those "well you should have figured out a way to not shoot him" ******** things where suddenly you are treated like you would be under California law.

But Im sure youre aware of that. I work where I live and hate cities so I didnt actually need one though. Wouldnt set foot back in Dallas or Hpuston without CHL or staying clpse to my mobile castle.

Aye, I live in a country where self defence is limited to your fists really, and I did karate. The main thing our teacher drilled into us (aside the exercises), was that the moment you decide to engage into a fight, you ******* engage it with the intent of fully incapacitating the other ******.

You can spar for fun, have a match for fun, but the moment you fight you go in with the sole intention of eliminating any and all danger.
You do not hesitate in those situations, you act and if it's overkill to murder the other person in that situation, tough cookies for them. Someone comes up with a knife to threaten me and I will attempt to whoop his arse.
That's ******* common sense. Hesitation in any life-or-death scenario increases the chance of yourself coming to bodily harm exponentially.

In 2015 it became LEGAL for CHL owners to openly carry their concealed handguns.

You still need a CHL to have a gun on your person.

I will be 100% honest with you.
For a pistol that makes the difference between you staying alive and you dying, you want the most idiot proof thing that you can get your hands on.
If you look into how humans react under extreme stress, your brain does not act like it normally does. You literally don't have time to think. when pulling out your gun to save your life, you are not thinking clearly, "Okay, I am going to pull this pistol out, I am going to flip the safety off, pull back the hammer, and then aim. after the first shot, I am going to pull back the hammer again and then fire." Every safety extra step you add raises the chance that you are going to pull out your pistol, point it at an attacker, nothing will happen when you pull the trigger, either because you forgot the safety or hammer and then you die.

I plan on carrying an M&P Shield in 40 cal. When I carry it, there will be a bullet in the pipe and with no safety. That way, when I am trying to save my life or my families lives, there will only be three words going through my brain "Pull, Point, Fire."

As a Texan, I sometimes worry if I see someone with a gun, I'm a pessimist and I always think at the back of my mind. "Man I hope this dude doesn't go crazy and shoot up stuff".

However, if there are 2 or more people with guns, I'm totally relaxed.

Because if someone starts shooting the place up its "Well yeah one guy could start shooting up the place, but that other dude can shoot him right back." The more armed individuals, the less time a crazy person could go shooting up a place.

Also if a zombie apocalypse happens in Texas, that ***** going to be cleaned up over a weekend. "Lubbock texas infested with zombies. Hundreds of Texans in Trucks driving through the streets shooting everyone shambling. If you have a medical condition that causes shambling, advising staying indoors until all-clear is announced."
