No joke. I tasted shark once, it tastes like garvage, like the best way to describe it is if you licked the lid of your garbage can it would taste pretty much like that. The only recipes I've heard that makes it ''good'' is basically marinating it in super hot ----es and sauces until you only taste the ----es.

The texture was interesting though, like a combination of fish and steak.

Rig is a shark that tastes not so awful but same texture.

Shark is delicious if done right. In Australia it is sold in fish and chip shops as "flake". Basically small or young sharks. It is easily as good as any fish available...and no bones. Sure, big old sharks will probably taste like urea.

Yeah, I spent 3 months spearfishing sharks in OZ and they were delicious.
Biggest was a 9 footer, so that's probably why they were all good.
