Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.” Luke 6:46-49 NASB This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Joshua 1:8 NASB “Listen to this! Behold, the sower went out to sow; as he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate it up. Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of soil. And after the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. Other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.” And He *said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word. These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them. In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy; and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away. And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word, but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.” Mark 4:3-8, 13-20 NASB Let's be not only hearers of the Word, but doers. We need to value the Word of God above all else. For example, you're reading a psalm about praising the Lord. Don't just go oh yeah that's nice to praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! Be careful to do what is written, you don't want to have shallow roots when trials are pulling on you. Ground yourself in the unshakeable foundation of the Lord. join list: Seekandyouwillfind (109 subs)Mention History next +71 -Favorite +Favorite Unsub from WootBoot Subscribe to WootBoot Unblock User's Content Block User's Content Sub/Block Channels christianity:UploadUnblockBlockSubUnsubsubs: 103 CHRISTCHANNEL:UploadUnblockBlockSubUnsubsubs: 41 Bibleposting:UploadUnblockBlockSubUnsubsubs: 51 Want FJ to keep running?
