I had to put a lot of thought into this, as the need to change governance will be required for stability and strength.

We will function as a meritocratic empire during our growth. had to get more aggressive here in retrospect, as a supreme power is required to enact the second

Once we had a good footing established we will transition into strengthening our territories.

Once they react autarky we will restructure into a confederated constitutional republic.

I gotcha. I’m assuming you’d start off as the quote unquote “supreme power” in this situation? And would merit be awarded due to loyalty to the empire, or feats within combat, or in another way? Also, what are your expansion plans? Are we going just for Ohio, or as big as we can get?

Loyalty in all cases, but merit wise good leaders militarily and politically. Basically I see someone capable of successfully growing a healthy settlement as just as important as a skilled tactician.

We'd begin with Ohio and expand into the mid-west before moving into Canada and around the Great lakes.

No limit on size, just taking what we can.

Dang, you’ve really thought about this, huh?

Alright, so what about accepting new members? Do we have an open-door policy, or is there a test of sorts? What happens to the people in the land that we conquer? Also, where do I apply?

Any ideas on combat strategies? I’m assuming post-nuke much of the weaponry of modern day would be long past gone, so are we thinking more of a slow guerrilla warfare strategy, or are we going balls to the wall?

Do we have a capital city/military base? Just based in Ohio, I’d say a Diamond City-esque capital building would be fantastic, since we have Paul Brown, FirstEnergy, Great American, Progressive, MAPFRE, etc.

Do we ever ally ourselves with a Xichigan clan, or do we still hold onto former biases?

Our main HQ is established >>#98
Its defensible and has a lot of room for growth and farming.

If they are intact, we'll also salt mines into military installations and set up settlements in areas surrounding.

New members wise, a target would be offered a chance to surrender and pledge loyalty to us. Their army would be added to ours and any sign of treachery would be met with by firing squad.

Captured settlements would be offered the same, with those willfully surrendering attaining citizenship and those refusing being either pushed into the wilderness, shot, or enslaved depending on the situation vegans will almost exclusively be enslaved as they dont require meat to work

Combat strategy would be based heavily on the Tarkin Doctrine deploying overwhelming numbers to demoralize the target and encourage others to fear us as survivors and cowards flee to other settlements.

This would heavily be enforced by means such as the battlefield presence of the Prydwen and unconventional warfare.

Nothing instills fear better the being unable to predict what the enemy will do or when they will do it, but knowing that it is absolutley coming

I can go days without food or sleep (but not both) so you're gonna have to drag me kicking and screaming out of my bunker/house.

I was friends with a somewhat rich kid with a provisional license or whatever "can fly yourself and up to 3 passengers" license is not a decorated airforce pilot who has been involved on numerous secret bombing raids and did stunts on holidays.

Also if you're on the Ohio mention list it makes my job easier.

In my experience "pretty hard". My friend kept daring me to try an S-turn without explaining how to do it.
