That's right March 3rd starting at 6pm (central time)
We as a community will be bringing some wholesome feelings to some twitch streamers
Where to meet and when?
The day of the event I’ll be posting some info that everyone needs about 30 mins before we start at our chosen time.
We will be using You need to login to view this link
(Free to use, and you don’t have to download anything to use it) to communicate and post links to streams that we find, and will amass at. The post on the day of the event will include the link to the discord server so that anyone will be able to access it from FunnyJunk and join us.
Can I still join the event even though I missed the original start time?
Yes, even if you are running late you can still join for the fun
How long will we stay in a stream?
Depends on the attitude that we feel towards the streamer. If a good majority of us start leaving we’ll move on to another streamer like a pack of horny nomads. Maybe 30 mins max before we move on to another channel. Again depends on the streamer.
When will the event end?
This is up in the air. Depending on how well the event goes, and the motivation from everyone will effect how long this event will go on for. If people are not having fun and wanting to go do other stuff, then the event might only go on for a hour will us just jumping to random channels for a second. If the event is going on really well and people are having a good time, then it might end later in the night. This really will depend on the atmosphere of the event. A poll will be posted for us to vote on depending on if we really do want to make a distinct time when we can officially call the event over.
Do I have to donate to the streamer?
Nope. That is up to you in the end.
Can I still suggest a streamer even when the event is going on?
Yes, during the event you can post the link to the steamer in the discord.
What link will I know to go to?
The stream that we are going to will be pinned in discord (It will be a pin at the top right screen with a red circle to indicate that something has been pinned).
Hey what about us who use WET, CET, EET, and even MSK? You American twat!
This is clearly a dark thing to this event. From what I have read, the time of this event will be leaving out a good portion of our community who live in Europe, Africa, and Russia. Now the best thing possible to fix this is, is if someone is willing to run events for this distinct population. Granted we could plan events early in the Morning for Americans so that Europeans can join in. We’re going to get this issue resolved so that everyone can be part of a Community event.
Oi cunt, you’re forgetting us!
Our friendly Australians , and pacific users who use AWST, JST, AEST, and AEDT who make up a portion of our community too also have the same issue. The main idea to fix this is to find someone who is willing to aid in hosting, or running events for this area of the world.
This is a terrible idea event!
Granted everyone finds different things fun. This won’t be the only event to happen, other events will follow with different structures depending on the event.
I would like to thank ashedust for posting this. This really captures a set of guidelines for us during this event.
“ 1. This is not about funnyjunk, so please don't go spamming "Hi, I'm user X from funnyjunk! Remember, it was funnyjunk who organized this." And if they do ask where we all came from, just be polite and link them to this post...or the future post that kicks off the event.
2. With 1 in mind, they will most likely find out that we're all from funnyjunk. Be polite and appropriate. We're not there to crash their stream. We're there to support their stream.
3. We were not "sent by admin". Do not claim admin set this all up. In fact, do not mention admin at all. IF he supports this, he will comment on his own. Do not try to be his mouthpiece.
4. We are there to support the streamer, not the other way around. ONLY MENTION FUNNYJUNK IF THE STREAMER ASKS...
And please, if you do see someone being a twat and just generally ruining the good mood we're intending to set, call them out. Get the chat mods on twitch to kick them from the stream..."**
These are the basic guidelines to follow if we want future events. So don’t spam, and don’t be an asshat.
Ran out of characters to type with so please see the sticky comment below for who we will be raiding. Thank you.
