Yea but it looked like literal Satan.
That doesn't make a good PR-guy.

People should want to trust him.
Trusting literal Satan is a bit hard.
Especially after it blew up as a meme they had to think of something.

Which is something that concerns me that they're so focussed on PR that they took this as something they needed to fix immediately, which shows how much they are out for profit.

They shoulda gone balls-out and made his suit even more sinister-looking. Flip it from "evil" to "hilariously, cartoonishly evil". Celebrating the meme might have worked for them.
