As a person he is cowardly, selfish and arrogant. Swapping genders would most likely have
'her' be seen as this self impowering person because agressive women are always seen as
strong. Beth on the otherside would be seen as an abuseive husband, in the show she is very

Whether you like it or not, laughing at this is human nature. I didn't laugh, but I'm not surprised people did, especially women. Women hate weak men, they view a man who is controlled by his girlfriend as weak (I can't disagree to be honest) and they laugh at him for not being stronger, because a man is supposed to be strong. Women aren't naturally strong, men have to be strong for them, and if the man isn't strong he is useless. They mock this example because you aren't supposed to follow it. Other men will sometimes laugh at these men as well.

This is human nature, it's not going to change anymore than a million government programs is going to get women to want to get STEM degrees. This is just reality, whether you like it or not. I am ready for your red thumbs.

The bitch in the video clearly were doing more than just locking him in a flat. Including beating him. Then how are you going to defend yourself against an abusive woman? How are you going to "be a strong man" and fight back without hitting her? Push her? That's assault too. Restrain her? That's also assault. just "block" and leave? How is that being "a strong man".

If we are talking generally abusive relationships it is the same reason why women don't leave men that abuse them, they are afraid it will make things even worse. That their partner will retaliate in some extreme measure.

I would argue that abusive relationships are in some cases worse for men than it is for women. Women can potentially kill their abusive spouse and and get away with it, women has tons of public support options and police/other people will rush to their aid immediately.. While men? No organizations that helps them. Police laugh at them. Other people laugh at them. The first time they defend themselves, it is over for them. "off to jail with you, you disgusting woman beater". Yay society.

Women are not as mentally or emotionally strong as men, that's part of the reason they don't fight on the front lines, or at least shouldn't. Women who do almost all go insane from the emotional stress, such as the case with the first frontline female marine in the US marine corps.

I don't think you give women enough credit. To say they aren't people is wrong. There are a lot of women who would have sympathy for the guy in the comment, but most would not. Women aren't all the same, they can be very good natured and overall good people.

The thing is, in some cases you can say the same about men. I mean just look at the way we treat ugly/fat women. It's not a case of them "not having empathy", it's a case of people just do what their nature tells them to, and they do it without thinking a lot of the time. Women do tend to do this more than men, but it's not exclusive to them
