A huge update here. I have been doing a lot of work on the system over the past few days and have made some major improvements. But first, lets get on to a video. The video was just to do a quick overview of the whole system. I'm sorry that my phones camera kinda sucks. I gotta swap it out with a spare. So the first thing that I did was I move the computer that controls the whole system over to where the system actually is. It was on the other side of the room before and that was kinda a pain in the ass. I still have some more rewiring to do which I will probably get to tonight if I can find enough materials do to what I plan on doing. But here is what it looks like for now.The next thing that I did is I got a new top-off bucket. That is the bucket that is connected to a float valve to release more water to the system when it starts getting low. I made a huge improvement with this top-off bucket. I added some nice CPC Quick Disconnect fittings. This allows me to easily take my bucket over to my bathtub to refill it. I have to refill it every other day which is not bad.Next, and this one is my favorite so far, I rigged up our little gas stove/heater to be controlled by the computer. This stupid heater does not require any electricity and it have a little on/off switch. I was able to get the Growtronix software and hardware to trigger a relay to control our gas heater. This is greatly useful because I was always having to manually turn the damn thing off and on all the time and I hated it. Now the computer controls it and maintains a good temperature in the room. What is best is that I have been able to control the gas heater with my phone as well which made my wife's panties a little wet.I added a bunch more fish. We spent like $75 at the pet store getting fish and food. I bought 3x three inch fish, and I also bought another 20 little feeder fish, although 6 of them have died because they were so small and getting sucked down the drain. *****. Just noticed I dont have a pic of it. Oh well* Well, on to the next thing. I decided, just for ***** and giggles, to make a CO2 generator utilizing sugar water and dry active yeast. I made 2 5 gallon buckets of the mixture and I have the lines rigged up to dispense over the plants via 1/4" tubing. I know it will not produce all that much, but it will slightly help and it cost almost nothing to do so if it fails then I still have all the parts that I can use for other stuff. So here's a question for you guys. Lets say you had the spare cash, would you purchase one of these types of grow system or a greenhouse? A friend is having me build him a greenhouse for his restaurant and I was thinking that maybe I could go into business doing this stuff. What do you think? [poll Purchase] Thank you all for checking out my latest update! prevnextTags: DeadlyFoez | aquaponics | Fish | plants | Indoor | hydroponics +5 -Favorite +Favorite Unblock User's Content Block User's Content
