Book of the Dead Monster, Pt. 3iragulasuperbiaRank: #614 dungeons-n-drags, Pathfinder, Pathfinder2eBlocksBlocks prevnext Prev Next A raw nerve is created when a living creature is killed by massive amounts of electricity and necromantic energy causes the brain and nervous system to rip free of the charged flesh. They can mentally probe nearby creatures, overload creatures with electricity to keep them from using reactions, and release bursts of mental energy that can stun others. The unrisen as a mangled type of undead created when a ritual such as resurrect goes catastrophically wrong. They can only be permanently put down with specific methods, sicken people with their mere movement, unleash an Agonized Howl that deals mental damage, and doom creatures that it has grabbed. There’s enough traditional, blood-drinking vampires in Pathfinder, so this book expands on the qi-drinking jiang-shi vampires and the psychic vetalarana vampire. While most plants, fish, insects, and other animals don’t possess a psychology complex enough to have the emotional catharsis necessary to return as an undead, an outside event such as a mass extinction can cause the dying biome to merge as a powerful undead. The first of these, waldgeists, showed up in 1e and are forest-based creatures whose touch can turn others into petrified wood and posses trees. Sea-based verdorites known as seetangeist are composes of bloated corpses of marine life encrusted with bleached coral and wrapped in rotting seaweed. They are a swarm that deals poison damage in their area and exudes a sickening aura.New wights include to hunter wight who favors fighting from afar and can channel their Drain Life through the arrows they fire, the sneak attacking prowler wight, and the legion commanding wight commander.Zombies get access to some new special abilities, including an acid spit attack, and now have zombie snakes, speedy husk zombies, piledriving zombie owlbears, commanding zombie lords, and immense zombie mammoths whose trunks can continue to act even after being slice off. That's the last batch of the new monsters introduced in the Book of the Dead. Some real fun stuff that I'm definitely gonna find a use for. prevnext +44 -Favorite +Favorite Unblock User's Content Block User's Content Sub/Block Channels dungeons-n-drags:UploadUnblockBlockSubUnsubsubs: 3350 Pathfinder:UploadUnblockBlockSubUnsubsubs: 33 Pathfinder2e:UploadUnblockBlockSubUnsubsubs: 14
