If you've been following my compilations you'll know that I'm a fan of the ponies, but thought it was about time I put together a dedicated bonus compilation for one of my favourite characters in the show... The Great & Powerful Trixie! Introduced as an arrogant, egocentric, petty magician she was quickly knocked down a peg by Twilight's superior talent and work ethic. However, over Trixie's continual reappearances it became apparent that Trixie's ego was actually her defense against her own lack of confidence and fear of not being accepted by others which she continued to struggle with over the series. The formation of her and Starlight's friendship was slow and difficult due to these issues but the eventual trust and bond they developed was great to see. What made Trixie stand out though was that through this she maintained her charm as a well intentioned but perhaps ignorant/naive character who gave the show a unique ***** attitude and humour compared to the rest of the characters who were mostly humble and sweet.
