White latex gloves, and they seem smart as ****, the hammer probably has some other person's fingerprints so if the police suspect one of them, the fingerprints doesn't match.

They were wearing white latex gloves, it looks like they were leaving the hammer intentionally, probably had someone elses fingerprints on it. I think this because at no point do they use it.

Yeah ... because every country has an ultra large secret database of every person's fingerprints.

No but they usually keep them on record. If the persons finger print isn't on record at the time, when it later does at some point, it'll come up and they can be convicted for this crime too.
