because he was bit by the dog, if i was carrying a weapon and someones dog bit me i would do the same. with that said they were in the wrong for the arrest as filming police is not a crime.

Forgive me if i'm not accustomed to guns being everywhere; i live in Australia and am not used to things like this happening.

Someone else posted this, I watched it, immediately went and hugged and pet my dog for like 20 minutes... This is so sad, I do not recommend watching if you have/had a dog you truly love

brutal as that was, it was self defense, that dog was getting agressive.

Yes, but the cop unloads like half his clip into it. One shot could have been enough. Just one shot to the leg or something would have kept it at bay. The cop acts as if it's some super mutant dog ready to kill with a single bite.

cant count can you, a police clip is a 15 round clip, he shot 4 times.

It was a rough estimate. I did not want to watch it again to count the actual number. That's why I said "like half", meaning I don't really care the actual number, just that he shot much more than he should have. One shot would have been enough to at least warn the dog to back off, if that single shot didn't kill him anyway.

the arrest was illegal the shooting was done according to training but wouldn't have been needed if he wasn't arresting someone for something that isn't illegal.

Police are trained to fire until they are no longer in danger. Law enforcement training would look on what this officer did as standard protocol. Whether or not that protocol is good, is a whole different story, but the officer's actions were acceptable given their training.

That sucks, man, it really does...

Honestly I agree. It does suck, and that video was hard to watch.

I knew when I clicked "Play" that I would be disturbed by it. The whole time, my heart was just beating really fast and I knew at any moment I was gonna be deeply upset about it. Turns out, I was right, and it almost made me cry. So I went and hugged and pet my dog for like 15-20 minutes, I was that upset.

the dog was defending its owner. there were a thousand different ways to deal with that without killing the dog. just as if a little kid would run to their parents if strange *police* men started to rough them up. do you shoot the kid for becoming aggressive or do you let the parent handle it?

tl;drsome* cops are assholes unleashed on society with a god complex and a gun.

He shouldn't have shot 4 times, the dogs was running and possibly could have lived, but he still shot, and left it to suffer which is illegal to let an animal suffer

Actually by the looks of it he tried to grab the dog (I do not understand why) and the dog tried to bite him, It never tried to run away.

The dog jumps backwards after the first shot
