Racer Tumbles Off His Bike At 230 mph

Motorcycle racer Chris Matheson took a terrifying tumble off his motorcycle at around 230 miles per hour at a raceway in Sydney, Australia. Despite tumbling for about 100 feet, he only suffered a broken ankle.

it looks like his ankle broke when he tried to step off the bike a 230mph. why did he do that anyway, the bike wobbled in the beginning but it looks like he had control of it while stepping off

Actually he did not 'step off', ever put your hand out the window on the highway doing 60-70Mph (96-112Kph) and feel all the resistance against your hand? Its the exact same thing here, with 6 times the force. Basicly, He moved (accidentally probobly) just enought to let air under him, and basicly his whole Right side became an Airplane Wing, since his left side stayed down, he was blown off sideways.

This was a very thought out reply, im just tired of seeing every one say "Oy Mate, your a dumnass for jumping off at 200mph"

also, the wabble in the bike May have had something to do with him having to re-adjust as i said above.

makes more sense than jumping off the bike at 230mph so thank you for clearing that up.
