Look up a newtons cradle, it is possible, and you need to look at the physics of it, also look up the mythbusters episode where they try to make a wrecking ball newton cradle

It is perfectly possible for them to do that, pendulums are known to stay in motion for ages. In a sufficiently frictionless buildup, the only strain on the continuous motion is air resistance. How else would Foucault's pendulum experiment be possible?
