I still have an occasionally play that game on my original game boy, big purple buttons and everything.

I even used to have one of those fancy magnifying glass light things that attached and a charger for late night gaming, but idk where they went :(

One of the best parts about that game, that I always loved, were the hidden secrets. Like being able to travel on the top in the level with the Sphinx. The noise that those coins made when you collected over 100 and you were still collection in the same area made a noise that will always make my ears cum in excitement

Clunky controls, campaign too short, forced players to shoot the world's awesomest robot

I sometimes take out my old brick of an original Game Boy and try to speed run this game...

This song, when played on piano, sounds like it would belong in an old western saloon.

This is probably my favorite Mario game. Mainly because you have to beat the game in one play through, since the game COMPLETELY starts over when you die. The levels are designed in a super cool way, and the music and art are great for the Gameboy. Download and emulator and play the game if you haven't. Beating the game feels really rewarding.

I actually have the first three levels on my TI-89 calculator, so up until the first boss. I play that **** in class all the time.

This was the 2nd video game I ever played in my life when I was just a little kid, maybe 3 or 4

My dad owned the old grey brick game boy and let me play on it whenever I came to visit after him and my mom divorced, and before he moved really far away and I never got to see him again he gave me his gameboy and his super nintendo and all his games, and it took my forever to finally beat this game and when I did I was so excited, but I never got to tell my dad. Unfortunately when I was in 6th grade my mom informed me that my dad had passed away because of heart failure and now every time I play one of his old game (which I still own every single one he gave me) I get reminded of how my dad was the one who got me into video games and always liked playing them with me..

So long story short, this reminded me of the good memories I have of my father. Thank you OP :)

Thank you :) I even downloaded Super Mario Land off the virtual console on my 3DS sort of as an homage to my dad as well, and I still play it every so often
