Just to be a buzzkill, while this guy has decent groove, he could use a bit more variation in his basic pattern, because he keeps coming back to the accentuated quarters followed by the 16th roll, and then following it up with a fill.
The fills could also do with using the same theme twice, maybe with a twist, instead of doing something once and then leaving the listener hanging and anticipating the return of something familiar, which never comes.
As a fan of technical and prog, this could work if put together with another rythm based voice, like a bass guy, but as it stands this goes no longer than an 7/10
