This is the problem with a system where patients have to pay for their procedures. Doctors can continue to rack up bills and gain more money from unwitting people. In Canada everything is paid for by the government meaning if a doctor tricks a patient into unnecessary treatment with no justification then the government just won't give them the money. Keeps everyone honest.

And the ones who don't say them for a ******** of money say it to keep from being sued. For instance, you could probably get a lawsuit against a doctor for saying "yeah, you'll be able to walk" and them being wrong.

I halfway agree with you. There are doctors who do this, but not the one i went to. For like 7 years, every month (sporadically) I would get massive pain in my side, and I'd stay home and just feel like ****. I finally got it checked out in depth, and they found out that it was a kidney problem. Three months later, I had surgery, and was pain free. It was one of the best things that's ever happened to me, so not all doctors are like that

I've been trough two heart surgeries, and what you just said is a huge generalization.

The best way to not be fooled, is to know your ****.

In Denmark doctors are paid by the goverment regardless of what illness you might be suffering from, so there isn't any kind of gain for them to lie to us..
