This could work, though not forever. Since it's plugged into itself, it's acting like a battery (or a capacitor, not sure which term is more appropriate). Then he charged it up with the electric igniter from a lighter. If you left the nightlight plugged in long enough it would drain whatever power is flowing through it, so not infinite energy.

Either that, or this guy is a really good troll.

This is actually possible. Having the cord rolled up circularly basically acts like a giant capacitor. A capacitor is a device used in electronics that stores an electrical field, which is why the light did not go on initially but after shocking it with the sparker the cord was able to store potential electrical energy.

Grant it, the light will not stay on forever, as the energy stored within the cord/capacitor will eventually be converted to heat due to the light-bulb not being 100% efficient with light output (no electronic component is). Even faster so when the filament bulb is plugged in because filament bulbs are a piece of shit.

If you look closely he places the camera in smart positions. You cant see one half of the rolled up cord in one which I'm guessing is plugged in and the roll is from something else off camera. The power board has 6 inputs and when he is testing the light bulb, one on the end is completely out of frame. Either fake or this man wins life.

That's impossible, the efficiency would have to have an infinite percent, which goes against reality.

No shit. The laws of thermodynamics don't allow for infinite energy. Small children know this (but without the big words...).
