That's great, don't teach women to speak plainly and honestly, just enable them. Brilliant.

Why is it so damn hard for so many gals to just be straightforward in their speech?

*calm your tits, I said "many" not "all"

There's a few reason that they might not be straight forward (say "I'm fine" if they're not fine)
1. They don't like/trust you enough to share what's up.
2. It's about you.
3. It's too stupid/embarrassing
4. It's too hard to explain
5. She doesn't want to dwell on what's upsetting her.
I know it seems stupid, because it is, but there are actual reasons for the stupid things that girls do.

Oh I'm well aware of that.

I do get exasperated with the behavior of a lot of today's gals, though.

I understand. I think it's from those "drama" shows that they're always watching. It's like they try to play a role in the show.

A gal-pal of mine had the same theory (she was the president of a sorority, so she saw the worst of it).

Och, that's pretty lousy. I can't be dicked into talking to most girls I know. As soon as I ask them how they're doing, they say, "Oh, drama, drama, drama..." as if they aren't teenage girls and anything important ever happens to them.

Part of the reason I can't stand that kind of BS is b/c the gals that I befriend are so far above all that pettiness.

Leaves me with little patience for the drama from those who can't put on their big girl panties and deal with it.

Yeah, once you have good friends it's all more ridiculous. I used to try to actually help them with their problems, but now that I discovered that there are people with functioning brains, I kind of ditched my old friends to hang out with the new ones. That sounds bad, but it's their loss and their fault.

Ah, good then. It seems we've exhausted this topic of discussion.
