#36 to #31 - anon (08/28/2014) [-]
You can talk about shirts all day long, anybody can, but that is meaningless unless you act on the shirt, make that shirt your own, grab that shirt by the collar and tell it, you are mine, your purpose is to serve my body, I am more than cotton, I am a person, and I am worth an infinity of shirts.

Yeah about that... It is pretty easy to notice if you start sweating and feeling anxious around lots of people. So I don't see what's the problem.
User avatar #84 to #13 - norkas (08/28/2014) [-]
If you're anxious in a social situation, you could say you have Social Anxiety. You don't need a doctor to diagnose everything.
#17 to #13 - anon (08/28/2014) [-]
Believe it or not, she's probably not using it as a medical term or symptom but just as a general term to mean when she's in social situations she gets anxious (ie you couldn't use schizophrenic in this sense because that's wayy too specific)
User avatar #24 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
Also I find clubs to be one of the least social party venues... You can't hear **** ... Barring trying to convey in sign language that you wanna **** whatever blackout drunk floozie/manslut you happen to pick up there, unless you genuinely go to dance, your "social anxiety" really ought not to be much of an issue...
User avatar #53 to #24 - Kairyuka ONLINE (08/28/2014) [-]
Just being in a room with lots of unpredictable, loud, unstable people is pretty bad honestly. Doesn't help that it gets worse by being around drunk people.
User avatar #64 to #53 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
Close your eyes and pretend you're in your room with your music blaring?
User avatar #66 to #64 - Kairyuka ONLINE (08/28/2014) [-]
I can't because clubs are filled with terrible music playing at insane volumes. Also people everywhere. I'm tall and have weird hair so I attract a lot of attention, especially from drunk people, the one kind of people I want to stay the hell away from me. This is why I don't go to parties
User avatar #68 to #66 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
Oh and house parties are way better than clubs
User avatar #69 to #68 - Kairyuka ONLINE (08/28/2014) [-]
At least you can go to concerts.
User avatar #70 to #69 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
You CAN go... you just don't like it. I like it... but stand a significant risk of injury...

Ain't life grand?
User avatar #72 to #70 - Kairyuka ONLINE (08/28/2014) [-]
Depending on whether or not that was an Atreyu reference and you're into that kinda music, because the crowds get kinda rowdy there :L
User avatar #74 to #72 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
Never heard of Atreyu... crowds get kinda rowdy everywhere these days...
User avatar #71 to #70 - Kairyuka ONLINE (08/28/2014) [-]
I can't go. It's pointless for me to go since I can't enjoy the music and I have no one to go with. It's not an option. Most concerts have safe zones usually
User avatar #73 to #71 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
I repeat: You CAN go... it's just you don't like to... for the above reason... oh and those safe zones are no fun. Can barely experience the concert from 'em.
User avatar #75 to #73 - Kairyuka ONLINE (08/28/2014) [-]
I CAN go, but it makes no sense to go and I'm unable to go to a concert since I'm unable to get enjoyment from a concert because of the above reasons. So even if I wanted to go to a concert I'd be unable to enjoy a concert.
User avatar #76 to #75 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]

User avatar #67 to #66 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
Still not as bad as being a short person at a concert.

Getting trampled is a full time job
User avatar #23 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
>attractive
>social anxiety

eeeeehhhhh... Generally social anxiety stems from early rejection from social circles... somehow I doubt the pretty girl ever had to deal with that... Could be wrong though. For all we know she's a butterface... or something not immediately apparent based on her looks has caused her social anxiety like severe undiagnosed autism... or something...
User avatar #54 to #23 - Kairyuka ONLINE (08/28/2014) [-]
Looks doesn't automatically include you. Also she might've been excluded before puberty and then changed into a beautiful butterfly. Or she's a major butterface
User avatar #55 to #54 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
Looks do automatically include you. My sister is incredibly autistic and yet she's invited to almost everything solely because she's pretty and cool people like to surround themselves with attractive people.

She goes because she figures it's appropriate then asks me what to say via text every time.

Society is very shallow. Sorry, about that.
User avatar #57 to #55 - Kairyuka ONLINE (08/28/2014) [-]
If you look beautiful but have no idea how to act socially, you're going to be included for around five minutes tops.
User avatar #59 to #57 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
But you'll be invited every single time, bud.
User avatar #60 to #59 - Kairyuka ONLINE (08/28/2014) [-]
As I said, inclusion until people find out who you are inside.
User avatar #61 to #60 - Sethorein (08/28/2014) [-]
you're still implying that at some point they'll stop inviting you. Hasn't happened to my sister yet and her nickname in my house is the ice queen.
User avatar #62 to #61 - Kairyuka ONLINE (08/28/2014) [-]
Because she's getting help from you. If she had to handle it on her own I doubt she'd be tolerated. That's just my experience though. There's more to a social situation than looking good. If people don't like how you act, you could be the queen of beauty for all they'd care.
#93 to #23 - thedeadpidgeon (08/28/2014) [-]
The fact that she's wearing pants like that and willing to wear a shirt proclaiming social anxiety like some kind of badge pretty much means she's doing just fine. That being said, attractiveness doesn't completely negate someones chances of having it.

Back before puberty I was pretty chubby and awkward, but after i turned 15 I leaned out and actually became relatively attractive. Only like a 6 or 7ish, but considering I used to be a 3 or 4 it's a pretty big change. Now people invite me to **** , and they actually seem to give a **** about wanting to be my friend, A couple were even the same assholes who liked giving me hell before puberty paid off. **** people, right? but I'm still awkward as **** and can't be comfortable around people unless I'm drunk or have known them for at least a few months, so I still have no social life.
