Well, yeah, but 8bit relates to video-games more than any other genre of music, doesn't it?

For me, Halo 3 was the best of the Halo titles by following games such as Half-Life in a way of properly doing linear level design with great combat to fill it in. Only being held back by relying on artificial difficulty when jumping from Normal to Legendary, and also for lying to us by saying it was finishing the fucking fight when those motherfuckers at microsoft announced another 6 games. 1 prequel, 1 HD remake, and 4 shitty sequels goddamnit.

Oh... umm... sorry. Pretty good.

+ ~ 400 hours on Oblivion because I pirated it first.

>Less CSS hours than the previous casual
>Thinks Garrysmod, TF2, or Oblivion could in any way decrease casual-ness.

Just because you've played over 550 hours of CSS, it doesn't make you a non-casual. What matters is the games you choose, and the fact that you thought of all things, Garrysmod and TF2, would count towards a 'hardcore' title is just embarrassing.
#111882 to #111873 - muffinzexe (08/13/2012) [-]

>Hmpf.
>No, just no.

What actually matters is how long I play on one day. What matters to you, is a matter of opinion.
#111889 to #111882 - carchariasthefurry (08/13/2012) [-]
I hate to break it to you, but, no.

It does not matter how much you play a day, really. If you play Farmville for about 10 hours a day, it doesn't make you hardcore, does it?

What makes someone 'hardcore' (I hate that title) is the type of game that they play. A casual title is a game someone could easily jump in and jump out easily, have a simple mechanic and goal, and allows for both good and bad players to accomplish a goal with minimal effort. A hardcore title is one that requires time and effort, it requires skill, it requires learning how to do something properly with a much larger reward than a casual title. You could easily hop into a game of TF2, CSS, GMod, or Oblivion and get a few games/quests out of the way in a short amount of time, then hop off and get back to what you were doing without much effort, attention, or thought put into it.

It does not come down to opinion, because telling the differences between these two categories is just a matter of paying attention. You couldn't play Dark Souls for 10 minutes before going to a movie with your friends, you couldn't get shit done. You couldn't sit down for a TF2 marathon and do much because all it ends up being is 2-5 minute intervals of a few different game-modes, with items being unlocked at random times with no relation to your skill as a player or time commitment as a community member.

I disagree with some points. I think it can make you a hardcore (I hate it too) player IF you don't play games because of the casualness.

You still didn't prove that you're not a casual.

Also prestige 9 in MW3 in around 2 months of playing it (not total) and like prestige 7 black ops in a month or so playing.

How the everfree fuck did you think that MW3 isn't casual? You just certified your casualness in stone. You spend way too much time playing casual games, just like those 30-something women playing Farmville and Bejeweled all day.

played* and btw, i don't understand why you dont backup your arguments. also you didn't respond to me about the pandaren. why does the female child pandaren, a character NPC that will have no impact on gameplay, mean that it is a casual game ?? you're pinpointing aesthetic aspects of the game and linking them with the playstyle. it's like saying LoL is a casual game because of skins like corporate mundo or kennen M.D.
User avatar #111871 to #111869 - ariscorp ONLINE (08/13/2012) [-]
Pretty sure that the game devs have been molding the game around casual players the past year, making the game extremely tedious for proper players. dumbing down content constantly, they lost 1.1million subscribers in their last quarter. but no, there is no auto reset to casual.
