Pretty much. If you're a soldier in the army, the Army leads the way. If you're a marine. the Corps leads the way.

Although the United States has an Airforce, the Marine Corps, Army, Navy, and CoastGuard, have aviation in their ranks.
The World's largest airforce is the USAF, the second, The USNavy.

The Navy commandeer all planes that deploy from Ships, yeah?
I wouldn't expect the Airforce to get crew and soldiers for a ship, as much as I'd expect the Navy to get pilots for planes, and have a crew that can maintain and prepare planes for launch.

Basically easier for the navy, as the USAF has airbases instead of seaborne ones.

Marines are US Marine Corps, they pride themselves for being different than the soldier. They are the navy's "bitch". The navy's fighting force. Back when it was formed, they fought the land battles for the Navy. You can't have a working ship and have the crew fighting at the same time. They were heavily involved in the Pacific in WW2.

The soldier is apart of the US Army. Heavily involved in fighting Germany in WW2. They are seen my Marines to be 'weaker' in a way. Basic training (USArmy), is less intense than boot camp (USMC).
User avatar #129 - zuflux (12/27/2014) [-]
So like every other faction of fighting force in any country in the wolrd there's a dick measuring contest where of course the one "you" are in is the hardest, the toughest, etc.
Thanks for clearing it up, though. Somehow, the US make-up of different fighting forces always confused me.

Here in Norway we have Naval forces, Air force, and infantry force. All with their own subdivisions and special units.
I served in the artillery, and one thing the brass loved to chat about was how much grittier and touch it was in the "army" as opposed to the naval or air forces, who both have their own ground forces, like the marines, but they're deployed from ships, aircraft and carriers.
User avatar #130 - propanex (12/27/2014) [-]

Everything looked like a greenscreen stage, where none of the actors were actually in these locations doing things. It was always a set. Didn't do much to cover that up. Stupidly hard to kill nemesises. And Ugh.

Same. I mean it was good, but compared to other two (story line) and the battle sceans (compared to lotr) it just feels empty. Sort of rushed. But to be honest, to make 3 part movie from a singel book ( plus few things from Semilarion for sake of felling it in) they did a goob job in the end.

Besides the internet, people have been beaten up, thrown out the house, raped, and sometimes killed because of their gender identity. And these are not one time occurrences. Think of how some people treat homosexuals and multiply that attitude to the extreme.
User avatar #195 - zuflux (12/22/2014) [-]
Also, forgot to add that no, I am not exaggerating. I'm too tired from this day at work to get upset and worked up.
User avatar #192 - zuflux (12/22/2014) [-]
Short Version: Yes, but I cannot for the love of me remember who or what, except it was something about genders. And that it was on Tumblr. Duh.

I suggest you look up "Doxxing" and what lengths some people actually go to in retribution for some random comment or content someone has made.

Entire hate mobs rally against them. Most have, of course not been told the facts straight and true, and those same people might not eve need to be told, because they're doing it mostly because they're hateful, frustrated with their RL situation, and generally irrational.

The whole thing about "CommunismKills" and her limerick about Michael brown.
It offended so many people that they found out wher she lived, tried to get her mother fired from her job, and her expelled from school. As far as I know it didn't work out in the end, as people rallied to fight this hatemob. But it's far from the only instance where similar situations arise from what is originally a harmless comment or piece of comment that they made themselves or reblogged/forwarded from another source.

I could tell you more about it, but most of this "Destroy this persons life because they said something that triggers and offends me, I need to put on my special victim hat nao" attitude stems from SJW's Feminazis and other groups with extremist tendencies, that are blind to the privilege they project on others without realising they themselves have very little reason to be so loud or hateful about it.

Most of it is delusional and immature white noise.

My name on skype is daentraya (if fj still had the ability to have capital letters in names, it would have been dAEntraya as an uncreative variation that then referenced that i have a deviantart profile of the same name) If, when my game can run dark souls with more than like 8 frames per second, we can work out the finer details. It might take some time. The wizards in this house are tardy.

I still seriously need more youtuber. I have already exhausted the ones i know who fits my criteria of not having to look at the ******* screen
