Yeah, and actually, that's when Braniac's still low on his personal tech tree. Later versions of Braniac employ a "kinetic repulsion field" which instantly repels kinetic energy in the exact opposite direction it came from, unless Braniac specifies a target, in which case it goes there.

At his average level of power, it's actually understandable why he'd be a credible threat to Superman, and at his peak level of power, the only reason he wasn't winning was for plot convenience.

Yep. I wonder where Brainiac sits in the overall hierarchy of true strength in the DC universe. Like I know Darkside and Doomsday are both up near the top of the list, but surely Braniac is close to them.

I haven't seen much of him in the New 52, but for a while he was basically DC's Galactus. He just kinda' roamed around the universe fucking shit up with an enormous armada of ships and robots more advanced than anything else in DC. Brainiac himself is usually placed just below Darkseid physically, but leagues above anyone else mentally and technologically. On DC's weird, undefined scale, he's a got a 17 out of 12 possible ranks for intelligence.

Braniac at one point attacked Apocalypse for it's Boom Tube technology, and legit just bottled up it's scientific capital, put it on a shelf and left. The only reason he didn't blow up the source material like he usually does is because he didn't want to deal with the various New Gods coming after him for creating such an enormous imbalance, due to it being, "An irrelavent tangent" to his mission of collecting all knowledge in the universe.

The Flash Versus BraniacLuthor
Just not whipping out a ton of the people of Apocalypse because he doesn't want the New Gods wasting his time. Truly he is the embodiment of "I'm just on my mission." and nothing else.
Since you seem to be more into the actual comics themselves, have you read anything in the comics about Luthor-Brainiac like the interation of him in the DCAU from Justice League: Unlimited? Video related, it's the best scene in the show; barring maybe Supes leveling Dankside's face.

Aaaaw fuck yeah, JLU that shit's the best. I don't remember anything quite like that in the comics, but he does possess Lex's body for a while by infecting Luthor's Lois Lane sexbot with robot aids. That story is actually kind of a mess, but it's the closest thing there is to good ol' Luthoriac.

Awwww yis. You excited for the news that there's possibly going to be a reboot to Young Justice?

It's not hypothetical anymore, it got confirmed, and concept art was even put out there. I've already got my ticket purchased for the hype train.

Hell yeah, hyped for that shit. I marathoned the first two seasons and loved them. I was sick as a dog at the time, but I'm ready now.

I don't know why you got thumbed down, that's the legit in-canon explanation.

Thanks. I mean it's the only way I could imagine anything possible sucking up a blow from superman and still being in less than two pieces.

I've seen some, granted I didn't star from the beginning.

It's... ok. I don't hate it, but it is a little bit preachy and a little bit too "progressive" but it's good enough to look past that stuff. Just my two cents.

That's a really valid opinion there, friend. Can't really argue that.
