G'day mate, i remember I was like that. I found a pretty effective way to get fit and lose weight. Now if u have the money, buy weight loss shakes. I'm not saying they work, or that they don't, but it will help regulate your meals each day (breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner). Next you will have to test your fitness.
Try walking for 30mins (disregard distance for the moment), if that can be done, try for an hour. After you build that kind of fitness start jogging. Take it light first.
Plot out a route you would like to take for these walks/jogs (or treadmill, but you burn more in the outdoors) and follow this routine daily. Your exercise should be on a 1:4 ratio. For example, jog/run 30 sec, rest 2 mins and repeat until you get halfway through your route, then switch the ratio to 1:3. This will keep your heart rate up and help you get fitter. Watch what you eat, aim for 1500 cal daily.

start walking.... you don't even need to work out, just start walking more and eat healthier... or just decrease amount of food eaten

If you follow that training schedule and after each workout IMMEDIATELY go for a run or power walk, the cardio will be much harder, and therefore more effective
