They'd love it.

1. A secure environment to take the drug instead of a poor, run down house/trailer where anybody can take advantage of them.
2. Guaranteed quality product producing a stable/safe high. God knows what they mix in with that illegal stuff that fucks you up even more. Also, drug dealers have been known to spike drugs so people pay them to take advantage of their roofied customers.
3. Not living with the guilt and paranoia afterwards of police coming after you. Also being secure in the fact that someone is there to make sure you have a nice high as well as cut you off so you don't have any bad side effects.

With this you're able to do your drugs to get you out of bad times and give you the freedom/security to persue more meaningful activities that actually give you fulfillment and stop you from being an addict to a drug hobby. You'll still do the drugs but since you'll be in a better environment taking better stuff, it won't wrap a vicious chain around you like illegal drugs do.

Dude, hardcore drugs are pretty expensive as it is given how dangerous/illegal it is to manufacture and distribute it.

Given conventional, legal methods, the price of the drug will plummet but the other services you have to pay for at these facilities will even it out.

TLR You'll still be paying the same amount for a gram of meth but you'll be in a much safer environment and the money will be going to the government and honest, hard-working people employed at the facilities.

All drugs. Cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, mary jane. All of it but of course this must be introduced with regulations.

You can't drive or be in public with these drugs. You can only take these drugs in certain pleasure facilities that monitor your health and the dosages administered. You also pay to stay there until you sober out and can return home. Kinda like drug resorts but just as common as McDonald's to make sure you and others stay safe while under the influence. Also this would create tons of jobs and the additional TAXABLE income would hugely benefit the government in developing infrastructure and education. Even if 25% to 50% of the cartel's incomes were cut, that would be a huge win.

NOT ONLY THIS, but imagine how much less money we'd spend on housing criminals charged with drug offenses in the future. Also, we'd save a ton of money that gets budgeted to police departments to fight this useless drug war. In addition, since there are less gangs and less cartels, that additionally saves money on security. Just tons of win on all sides.

I can't tell if this an amazing idea or terrible one. The biggest flaw I can think of is that the majority of people that use hardcore drugs wouldn't be able to afford to stay at these places, or quite simply won't. You'd have to pay the staff working at these places extremely well since it would be considered hazard pay. In theory, I'd say it's a pretty good plan, but the world doesn't operate in a vacuum.

*sigh*

It's not just ending the war on drugs. This must be paired with legalization as well.

Compared to the devastating effect legalization would have on the drug cartels, the current war on drugs is a failure or rather an extremely inefficient solution.
