You make a fair point there. I guess I'm referring to the "capacity for learning" and "common sense" parts of intelligence. My mistake.

On that fact, are you really born with common sense? We have a common sense to not jump in a pit of lava because we have learned it was dangerous. I definitely agree with the fact that the elderly shouldn't be shown as people who knows how to use wisdom given the experience of life to refer back to the original point made.

Well... no. Not really. Intelligence is something you're born with.

Disclaimer so people don't think I'm just shitting on old people: Wisdom, in the hands of somebody competent enough to use it, is probably more important that intelligence, in the long run. We just should not assume that because someone has wisdom, that they are going to be able to properly take advantage of it.

Intelligence can be defined in many ways, some of which include logic, abstract thought, understanding, self-awareness, communication, learning, having emotional knowledge, retaining, planning, and problem solving. The definition of intelligence means to suggest that in some forms it can technically be learnt in life and what it has to offer, if life purely means the life that one experiences on this planet.

You're confusing intelligence for wisdom. Wisdom gives you the knowledge to make better choices, but if you're too stupid to make good choices in the first place, it doesn't help you much.
User avatar #7 - yentabear (02/11/2014) [-]
Could life and anything in it have the potential to replace stupidity with intelligence, in that case?
User avatar #8 - hanabro (02/11/2014) [-]

"What if this was a tumblr post with these comments that just keep repeating 'OOOOH' burned' I'm 100% done with 4chan guys' BUUUUUURN' "
Pretty sure you're the guy that said they wouldn't be funny because it's on tumblr with girls instead of 4chan
User avatar #44 to #43 - yentabear (05/19/2014) [-]
Probably because I disagreed with what you said if that's possible to apply in that situation, that or I didn't like what you said. Never known somebody to confront somebody about a red thumb, but whatever floats your boat. I was not the guy, sorry to disappoint.

I only stick to my moderating task, right?
User avatar #35 to #34 - tehbestever (03/16/2014) [-]
not necessarily

you can do everything.

if you find a comment that's **** , flag it. if you find an avatar that's **** , flag it, etc.

not just ignore it because you only have one task
User avatar #36 to #35 - yentabear (03/16/2014) [-]
Alright, that clears a lot up. I was only sticking to my task.
