If you have the time, the manga is definitely worth the read. The original anime is good but slow. DBZ Kai isn't bad but you miss all of the last arc. And if all else fails go ahead and try DBZ Abridged. You get most of the plot in much less time and all the funny you can handle.

or, you know, youtube could add content tags (DSVL, etc) so that you can have your account filter out videos in searches. This is currently only a feature for youtube partners, and even then it is their responsibility. As it would be impossible to make all uploaders do this, and equally impossible to moderate all videos, they could reorganize their flagging system so that it can be used to add filtering tags to it. Above a certain threshold of votes for a tag (likely a percentage of the total viewings within a time period), the tag will automatically be added. Can be requested to be reviewed, in case it was faulty. In your youtube account settings you can add parental filters to block videos with these tags. This would not impede anybody, and make it easier for parents.
She's not being intelligent about it, but she does have a good point. Youtube is a big enough website that it can afford moderation like this, especially when it doesn't impede anybody.

It is NOT the duty of the artist of anything to be someone elses parent. Be it sculpture, paint, or YouTube videos.
It's not flaggable because it does not break YouTube rules. If it does not break YouTube rules, than it is also not illegal to show. If it is not illegal to show, than it is the duty of the parent to make sure their kids don't watch stuff like this. You can watch an educational video on renaissance art, and get a healthy dose of penis from it. That's NOT the fault of the people who make the art, or the video itself.
The title of a video is irrelevant.

Or have the Wikipedia excerpt: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal
Most known animal phyla appeared in the fossil record as marine species during the Cambrian explosion, about 542 million years ago. Animals are divided into various sub-groups, some of which are: vertebrates (birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, fish); molluscs (clams, oysters, octopuses, squid, snails); arthropods (millipedes, centipedes, INSECTS, spiders, scorpions, crabs, lobsters, shrimp); annelids (earthworms, leeches); sponges; and jellyfish.
