The original plans/script did not involve the idea that Vader was actually Luke's father

"Security surrounding this movie was so intense that George Lucas had regular reports about "leaks" from actors. George Lucas was so determined that the ending be kept secret that he had David Prowse (Darth Vader) say "Obi-Wan killed your father", and dubbed it later to be "I am your father". In fact, only five people eventually knew about the ending before the film's release: George Lucas (came up with the idea in his second draft, after the death of Leigh Brackett), director Irvin Kershner (informed of such during story conferences), writer Lawrence Kasdan (also informed during story and script conferences), Mark Hamill (informed shortly before the shooting of the infamous scene), and James Earl Jones (told during the recording sessions for the final dub, and whom himself believed that Vader was lying)"

"In Leigh Brackett's original draft of the script, Darth Vader was not Luke's father. The character of Anakin Skywalker actually appeared in the film as a Force spirit to train Luke. Anakin's characterization was later split into the characters of Yoda, and the Force spirit technique was used to allow Obi-Wan Kenobi to appear in the film"

Furthermore

"Leigh Brackett's first draft of the screenplay contained the revelation of Luke's sister, her existence disclosed by the ghost of Anakin Skywalker. Referred to as "Nellith Skywalker", Anakin explains that it was he, not Obi-Wan, who separated the twins at birth to protect them from Darth Vader, and that Nellith also underwent Jedi training in another part of the galaxy so she could join forces with Luke to defeat the Sith. This concept was dropped in the second draft of the screenplay, along with the appearance of Anakin Skywalker and replaced with a scene of Obi-Wan and Yoda discussing how they must find another Jedi apprentice in anticipation of Luke's failure. This too changed in later drafts, resulting in the more ambiguous scene in the final version where Yoda assures Obi-Wan that "another" exists"

Ironically, Hayden expresses most when he doesn't say anything...

Still doesn't beat the frenzied look on Luke's face, enraged that he may lose his friends, filled with hate against the vile creature that is his own father... then followed by the horrifying shock of realization of what he was about to do and become.

Not to mention that in the OT you couldn't see Vader's face (obviously), but through body language they managed to convey a lot. For instance, you can almost see the frightened look on his face when Luke starts to bash him with full fury, as he backs off
User avatar #101 - wilfredfanforever (08/07/2014) [-]
Hm, I don't. Both were pretty heavy scenes. For me the most dramatic moment in the in the original trilogy was when Luke learns Vader is his father (I know I know) but that scene was just awesome for a lot of reasons.

So far all of the extra content has come out as free updates though, so there's that. And I'd probably be buying them if they were DLC anyways because I like customizing my character. I do think that they should make it easier to make money and get experience though. Or at least if they had a sandbox mode where you had infinite money but nothing saved. I'd like to see that.

Better than Coveted, since you can just go in there and blow everyone up and pretty much be done. I'll do it about four times or so then go screw around again until I run out of money. I'm also not personally against micro-transactions to Rockstar. If I really want to buy something (Liberator), I'll go ahead and spend real money on it since I know it'll be worth it to me.
User avatar #99 - wilfredfanforever (08/04/2014) [-]
I think the whole shark card thing is just a huge load of shit. We shouldn't have to spend extra money to get the most out of a game that's already about making money and being a nefarious criminal.

That's just what I've heard. Personally I've never seen any official Rockstar announcement talking about heists. And once you get Rooftop Rumble or know someone with it it becomes a lot easier.
User avatar #97 - wilfredfanforever (08/04/2014) [-]
I don't like doing that job over and over and over when my friends have all used glitching to become bill gates and actually have fun in the game. Rooftop Rumble is a legit method, but It becomes a drag really quick

User avatar #94 - wilfredfanforever (08/03/2014) [-]
I doubt it, but even if they do, it's a real dick move. The heists were advertised almost a year ago and still nothing. It's hard as Ron Jeremy's dick to earn a decent amount of money in the game, so of course people will resort to boosting/glitching. Of course Rockstar doesn't like that and expects us to just buy the money with the dumb shark cards. seriously, my jimmies have been severely rustled

I tried that once with my friends, ended up being pretty sucky though. I'd rather just pile everyone in a Barracks, rob a store, and shoot anyone who chases.
User avatar #49 - holycrapimacupcake (08/03/2014) [-]
It's better when you bring in that one shitty friend to help plan and it all goes to shit just as you escape. Makes for good laughs.
#59 - apurpleliger (08/03/2014) [-]
We tried one where we were going to grab an armored truck with the cargo bob, couldn't find it after an hour, I gave up after 20 minutes and got fussed at. Tried another where we were supposed to rob a store, run through a back alley, then make our way to the airport for an evac. I stuck C4 on the car beforehand and blew up my passenger as I rolled out of the car. That was nice. Tried another one where three groups of two rolled in for crowd control after the robbers blew up the gas station. That one would have been more fun if I hadn't died as soon as I got out of the car.

I did have a lot of fun recently breaking out of the police station on the West side of the city. One of my friends was supposed to land a plane on the road right next to it and ended up smacking into a building instead. It ended up that one of my friends came flying in with his Liberator and we basically just drove over everything until we got to the airport where we flew off in a Titan after driving being chased around the airport for 10 minutes waiting for cops to show up.
User avatar #60 - holycrapimacupcake (08/03/2014) [-]
Liberator is best escape.
#65 - apurpleliger (08/03/2014) [-]
It's just the best vehicle to use at any time. One of my friends has the smart car, and I could actually send it flying sideways down the highway just by hitting it right in the Liberator.
User avatar #68 - holycrapimacupcake (08/03/2014) [-]
Body of mine was on his little Vader, tried hitting me. Well next thing he knows he's on the beach and I'm driving down the hill to finish the job.
#69 - apurpleliger (08/03/2014) [-]
Yeah, the Liberator truly is a wonderful vehicle. I just wish that it weighed more. I know it's more realistic to have it bounce around like it does, but it sure makes offroading difficult at high speeds.

If your account is linked to a credit card then transactions will charge from the card

Or if you have left over Microsoft points then they will probably be converted to dollar amounts

Hi, I was wondering if you were using your points/items?

If not; I would really enjoy having them.

I promise they will go to a good use (items).

All you have to do is go to my profile and trade them over to me or I can for you.

Nearly two hundred thumbs down...

Were you really ready for their rage?
User avatar #15 to #14 - wilfredfanforever (07/13/2013) [-]
I expected some angry replies, but not the **** storm I unleashed.

Hmm. I usually see posts with that image thumbed up, but the last two times it didn't seem to be as lucky for the posters.
User avatar #17 to #16 - wilfredfanforever (07/13/2013) [-]
unlucky? ya I'll say
User avatar #18 to #17 - mayormilkman (07/13/2013) [-]
I got around seventy thumbs down on a post not too long ago, but it was negated (in a sense) by two other posts made around the time that had a combined total of more thumbs. Anyway, sometimes I just find comments with that many thumbs down amusing for some reason. Have you seen that one "9/11 wasn't funny" comment? It has gone over ten thousand red thumbs a while ago.

Yeah man, that is pretty wacky. I just wonder how it went in its early days, regarding that, apparently, not long after it was made it was already a sight to be seen.

It's possible that he doesn't know at all. Oh well. He himself doesn't matter to us beyond that single comment.
