I think there is something to that. Who in their right mind would want to be a politician, at least a good one.
It's such a huge responsibility when you want to do it right that it makes the job undesirable. If someone who doesn't want to become a government official becomes one, they are either going to try to lose the position or try to make the best of it, because they realize how important it is and how many people rely on you.

I always wondered what would actually happen if she wins? What's Trump gonna do, just btfo of politics? Protests for investigation for the many things i won't list here cuz i got other stuff to do? or just accept her devil cunt as the president and watch how she spends billions to defeat pepe and the russians

Get Texas on board with the idea and you would have 70% of your army right there. We already hate our state government so it wouldn't be that hard. As well I can tell you that there are a lot of people with guns that desperately want to try them out somewhere other than a shooting range.

Well. Your survival chances are far better fighting against the government (whatever part of it wants to fight you) or you can get nukes rained on you, which will ensure a death by either heat, starvation or cancer.
User avatar
#74 - severepwner (10/20/2016) [-]
Where does this idea come from that countries are going to start throwing nukes? Nobody wants to launch nukes, because that always means nukes will be launched back at them. The only reason any country has nukes is to deter all other countries from firing their nukes. Besides that they practically have no reason to exist unless we decide to use them in upcoming space battles.

can someone give me a concise explanation as to why the no fly zone would piss russia off? i dont really understand it. PA #3 btw
User avatar
#131 - Neodude (10/21/2016) [-]
Real basic explanation.

Russia is actually militarily allied with Assad, and that alliance is recognized by the U.N., as well as Assad being the elected leader. The US isnt a military ally of assad, so if they institute a no fly zone, they would shoot down assad forces, which would be direct military action by the us against assad. This would give russia the full right to commit military forces against us forces in the region, to support and defend its ally. Top military officials from the us have stated that instituting that no-fly zone would be the same as openly declaring war on russia

User avatar
#60 - trollmobile (10/20/2016) [-]
nah we're fine with immigrants, it's just hard to immigrate to here without being a refugee of war due to strickt laws.

Aw Shiet

I've already started learning Norwegian.

Don't do this to me
User avatar
#93 - trollmobile (13 hours ago) [-]
anyone with any skill we need gets in.
it's easy as fuck to immigrate to northern norway
just go like "i wanna do this job that requires any kind of education... in the north"
and you're in
northerners are uneducated as fuck, so they lack literally all public service people that require any kind of higher education.
doctors in norway actually have to do mandatory service in the north in order to get their doctoring lisence, because there are no northerners that take a doctoring education.
#94 - totalnotito (13 hours ago) [-]
Well that's good news. I'm a physical therapist (still educating tho) and I ain't staying in this, how we call it, a hole for wolves to fuck in.

Some guy told me it's the best for me to consider looking for jobs in Oslo since the people there speak clear Norwegian, while people from northern parts have weird accents.

Hwat now?
User avatar
#96 - trollmobile (13 hours ago) [-]
reason i said it's hard to immigrate is because we basically just don't take in uneducated workers at all
we give them temporary working permits but that's it.
immigrating to norway basically requires an education, and that's pretty much the main criteria.
#97 - totalnotito (13 hours ago) [-]
Thanks for answering my boring questions.
By the way, do you have any idea of the level of language understanding required to work in a health institution? I can't find it anywhere.

Have a webM for your troubles.
User avatar
#99 - trollmobile (13 hours ago) [-]
also, don't worry about norwegians understanding you.
if you can speak basic textbook norwegian, they'll understand you
the problem lies in them replying to you in their dialect, which can prove difficult for you to understand.
but if you put any effort into overcoming it, it'll be second nature to you in under a year
User avatar
#101 - totalnotito (13 hours ago) [-]
As far as I've seen, Norwegian is not that difficult to learn, which is a big plus. Also, it's very similiar to German and English.

But for now I can only say that I like ice cream. Or beer. And that just writing it down. If I tried speaking I'd sound like a retarded seal on ecstasy.

I have a long trip ahead of me, oh well, you can do everything if you try hard enough.

Liker du isscrem (iss crem?)
User avatar
#102 - trollmobile (13 hours ago) [-]
good rule is that norwegians always use K, never C or Q
any exceptions are usually imported words from other languages.

ja, eg liker iskrem.

takk is "thanks" short and casual
tusen takk "thousand tanks" is a casual but very sincere thanks
takk skal du ha "you shall have my thanks" is a more formal version
it should however be noted that norwegian is an incredibly informal language in general.
we don't really have titles at all, noone calls anyone "sir" or "madam" in any way... for anything but royalty that is.
literally the only people in norway that people speak formally to, are the royals, which are call "deres høyhet" or "deres kongelighet" meaning "your highness" or "your kingliness"

Every little fact I learn makes me like Norway even more. It all sounds so awesome.

You must be so happy living there.
User avatar
#98 - trollmobile (13 hours ago) [-]
well it depends a lot
if you're working with younger people, like students at a university or such, you basically just need to know english and you're fine.
if you're working with older people however, you're going to need to understand basic norwegian.

the biggest issue you're going to have, is if you work with elderly people on the countryside, because older people have heavier dialects. with the internet and TV, the newer generations' dialects have smoothened out, but older people still have such heavy dialects that it can be hard for even local born norwegians to understand.
that's where the cities come in.
when you're fresh into norway, i heavily advice you NOT to work with elderly people on the countryside.
if you're going to work with old folks, work in one of the 3 big cities, preferrably Oslo, but Bergen is also fine.

the language barrier with young people is very low, since everyone below 40 that isn't a complete redneck, or a retard, knows good enough english to communicate completely fine.

You gave me that nice, warm sensation of hope I haven't had in a løng time.

I love you and your country
User avatar
#95 - trollmobile (13 hours ago) [-]
some parts of norway might as well be speaking another language.
yeah, you can go to Oslo or Bergen and you'll get pretty much textbook norwegian, though not in the eastern part of either.

yeah no, if you're a phyical therapist you should be fine.
you MIGHT have to settle with having to learn to understand a dialect, but that's the worst case scenario, you go guy

Yet in the case of places like Germany, there has been no uptick in crime except hate crimes against refugee camps. I live in the Netherlands, granted we don't have an many refugees, but we do have a significant Muslim minority. Hasn't been a bother to anyone except basement dwellers who are afraid of 'muh white genocide'

As I said, refugees, the ones in true distress who need asylum, are welcome.
Rapefugees, those few who have caused concern in public safety and basically bring a bad image to refugees, can die of frostbite.

Do you have your passport? Do you have any other citizenships? Step one is apply for a visa. If you are heading to college, or in college, you can apply for a student visa to countries like the UK, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, etc quite easily. Step two, research the SHIT out of the country you will be living in. Step three, learn the language, customs, and culture before you arrive. Step four, get the fuck out of America.
